Beautiful Loreto

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Beautiful hotel. The location is prime, the view marvelous and the hospitality is a 5 out of 5. Our beautiful room was very spacious, super clean with a glorious view of the Sea of Cortez. We enjoyed lounging in our huge patio. Everyone working here is welcoming, attentive, very polite and very kind. On Sunday , there is a delicious buffet , well worth it. Although there is a Starbucks in the hotel for your morning coffee, it would be nice to have a “breakfast included” option in our room rate. There needs to be a little more light so we can read at night. Overall I give it a 5!

Nice Place But Needs Upgrades

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Beautiful building and helpful, professional people. Our room was 301 on the southwest corner (front, oceanside) of the building. Sparsely furnished and not enough available lighting. Lots of noise from hot rods all day and into the wee hours. But a nice balcony overlooking Sea of Cortez. They could use new pillows, as theirs are much too plush and some USB plugs (none in the room, had to use an adapter). Considering some of these flaws, the price was too high for our room.

Absolutely great location, beautiful hotel with wonderful views and awesome people!!

Fantastic hotel! I couldn’t have been happier with my selection. No beach front access (just sidewalk) but gorgeous ocean views! Awesome Extremely clean and overall organized. Fantastic luxurious rooms and great service! Rudy and Marcel were very accommodating and made sure our stay was comfortable. Rudy upgraded our room last minute to an ocean view at a great rate! Great pizza made in a wood burning style oven after 5pm every day. All personnel were so accommodating. There was limitations on coffee shop opening later and during New Year’s Day we had a hard time getting food or service it seems they completely shut down. Other than that I would 100% stay there again!

Lovely location but poor value

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Lovely location but poor value. The view of the Sea of Cortez from the luxury ocean rooms is amazing, the beds comfortable, the lobby attractive, and the breakfast buffet delicious, but that's the best I can say. You get very little for your money - just the large very plain room with minimal character or furniture (no table either in the room or on the balcony - so nowhere to eat takeout or play cards), a freezing cold pool, expensive restaurants, a poolside bar that doesn't open until 1 hour before the sun descends behind the hotel, a tepid hot tub, and lots of really loud street noise. Bring your earplugs!

Not environmentally conscious

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Beautiful hotel, exceptionally well maintained and clean. I have deducted a star from what would have been a five star rating because the hotel does not practice environmental sustainability which bothered me greatly as I try to maintain the environmental values I have at home when on vacation! Guests are not given the option of deciding when towels or linens are changed. The ‘Do not Disturb’ tag can be placed on the door but then the room doesn’t get cleaned or the bed made up. Towels were changed daily even though they were left on the rails, the bed linen was changed before I would normally have had it changed (other hotels sometimes have a card to place on the bed when requiring a change). The waste bin is emptied daily even though there is little in it (a new plastic bag each time!). I ended up keeping all our garbage in a bag inside the wardrobe until the end of our stay! SO, LA MISIÓN PLEASE BE KIND TO THE PLANET AND LET GUESTS DECIDE!
