Downtown Los Angeles Proper

I adored my stay, everything was elevated yet cozy. The hotel is beautiful and everything functions perfectly in the room. Room is quiet and the window treatments block out all light, the pillows lofty. The bathroom has great lighting and shower control is in front of the shower so you can turn it on without getting blasted with cold water. Coffee downstairs is fantastic and the food is delicious - and reasonably priced. I look forward to staying here again and trying out other properties.

Ms. Amber, who checked me in at the front desk on the evening of Jan 3rd was absolutely phenomenal. She was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and informative, making me feel welcomed right from the start. She noticed it was my birthday, thanks to the birthday pin I was wearing from Universal Studios, and took the time to wish me a happy birthday, which was such a kind gesture. Shortly after I got to my room, I received a call from the front desk letting me know to expect a birthday surprise. To my delight, a large bottle of champagne on ice was delivered along with a beautifully handwritten card from the Proper team. This thoughtful and personal touch truly made my birthday unforgettable. I was elated and deeply appreciative of the effort that went into making me feel special. Combined with the rest of the impeccable experiences at the hotel, this gesture elevated my stay to a level of luxury and thoughtfulness that I greatly appreciated.

Such a beautiful place to stay in LA. The room was spacious and the amenities unbeatable in the city. All the locals rave about the city. The team was so welcoming and helpful with anything that came up, even with sending my coat in an uber to the airport when I left it in my room. I will definitely be back!

An excellent, short, first-time stay at this very cool property. The staff was uber-friendly, the room was well appointed, and our meals at both the rooftop Cara Cara and lobby level restaurant were excellent! Special regards to the front desk staff, who were courteous and efficient, allowing us to get on with our enjoyment.

Great property--perfect independent hotel feel as a part of Marriott brand--excellent restaurants, rooms, staff. Rooms are very unique and modern, conveniently located for most DTLA hotspots, easy valet. Would definitely come back.
