Reviews for InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown

A great stay at the Intercontinental LA

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

Great location, high standard of accommodation, amenity, and customer service provided. Rooms were spacious, well appointed with very comfortable beds. The only downside is that you need to get 2 elevators to get from ground to/from rooms. We would stay here again

Thanks InterContinental DTLA!

I'm elated that I was able to celebrate my anniversary here! Angel, at the front desk, was super welcoming and made sure my partner + I had a special stay. Angel was the perfect intro to InterContinental DTLA-- she went above and beyond. I cannot wait to stay here again!

Could be a good hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The bones of the hotel are really good, but the service is pretty lackluster. Unless you really want the incredible view, there isn’t much of a reason to stay here. The physical infrastructure is really impressive. Nice spaces, the most dramatic views in all of LA, and decently sized rooms. However, service is kind of non-existent. There are lots of employees, but most we encountered lacked motivation or any sort of joy in their job. Check-in took far too long, and getting a quick bite in the lobby lounge turned into a painfully long experience where it was difficult to get anyone to help and we received an incorrect order. We went for breakfast at “Dekkadance,” which was a mistake. Long line to get seated, were brought to a table without any explanation as to how breakfast worked, asked for a menu and were told they were all out, so begrudgingly had the buffet, which is overpriced and not worth the effort. $12 up-charge for an omelette. Extremely slow and painful to get coffee. I wish we had walked a few blocks to Bottega Louie. Finally, the room is showing some wear and tear, with broken tile in our shower and some of the worst quality bath towels at a supposedly “nice” hotel that I’ve ever experienced.
