I haven’t stayed at the Palomar since pre-pandemic times. Its location near Santa Monica and Century City was super convenient. Very comfortable stay, but the best thing was the warm welcome and consistently helpful customer service from the staff. I appreciated the option for self-parking, complimentary happy hour wine, free morning coffee in the lobby, and grab and go breakfast option at the restaurant. It’s a brisk 15 minute walk to the UCLA campus where there are fun food options. Lots of reasons to return in the future!

What a wonderful place to stay in West LA! I was in town for business at UCLA and spent three delightful nights at the Kimpton Palomar. From the first hello from the friendly reception staff, my visit was nothing short of perfect. I requested an in-room coffee machine which was cheerfully delivered within minutes, and also appreciated the water dispensers available in the lobby and by the pool. The in-room fridge was handy for storing cold drinks and perishable snacks. The hotel was honestly one of the cleanest I have ever encountered (and I'm a world traveler). Not a speck of dust anywhere, and the bathroom was positively gleaming, with plentiful fluffy towels and an extremely comfortable warm bathrobe. I happily left a generous tip for the exceptional housekeeping staff and commend them for a job well done. The beds were amazingly comfortable, with a range of pillow types to choose from. Although I didn't need it, there was an extra cozy blanket in the closet, along with a yoga mat--such a bonus! After a long flight from Sydney, Australia, I was happy to be able to do yoga in my spacious room (with a view of Beverly Hills) and unwind in the heated pool, which was also exceptionally clean and well appointed. On my first night, I enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant (adorably named "Double Take"), following the complimentary wine reception in the lobby--such a nice touch. On the following morning, needing to work, I enjoyed a simple room service breakfast. Both meals were delicious with fresh, local ingredients. Special shout out to the barista for an especially memorable oat milk latte. (We Australians are quite fussy about our coffee!) When it was time to check out, the friendly front desk staff cheerfully stored my luggage so I could enjoy sightseeing on my last day ahead of a late evening flight, and the bell staff were all too happy to assist me with local information and a cab to the airport. I honestly cannot fault this hotel. Mine was a short but exceptional stay, and I will be recommending the Kimpton Palomar to all my friends and colleagues visiting West LA. UCLA is extremely lucky to have such a fantastic local hotel parter to look after their guests in such comfort and style.

Room 905. The front desk staff were really friendly and explained all the amenities including the $25 daily credit, which can be used for parking. They offer complimentary coffee in the morning and a happy hour in the afternoon. The coffee was actually good. The room was spacious. We appreciated that the room included a wine opener, wine glasses and scotch glasses. The bathroom could be better, there was no handheld shower head and the sink was a bowl. We did feel like there was a lack of outlets on the bed side of the wall. This hotel was centrally located to most things, if you have a car. The hotel was near a bus stop but I didn’t see any buses around. We did see lots of Waymos. They do have self-park which has in/out privileges. The garage entrance is behind the hotel, the entrance can be tricky to find. The entrance is the exit for valet. Overall, we liked this hotel and would stay here again.

Assim, vc economiza 45 USD/dia.

One-Star Review for The Kimpton Palomar Los Angeles My stay at The Kimpton Palomar Los Angeles was disappointing from start to finish. Before arriving, I called the hotel to inquire about parking and access to car chargers. I was told there was a $48 per day parking fee and that chargers were available, which seemed reasonable at first. I also inquired about room upgrades but was surprised to learn I was speaking with a call center, not hotel staff. While not a huge issue, it was an unexpected inconvenience. Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk was polite and knowledgeable. I was again informed of the parking fee and assured there were chargers available in the parking structure. However, when I tried to use them, I discovered an unexpected $20 activation fee and the need to sign up through an app. This was not disclosed earlier, and I suspect there's an additional per-kWh charge. Paying $48 per day for parking plus $20 just to activate the charger is excessive and felt like a blatant money grab. For dinner, I visited the hotel restaurant, Double Take, at 4 PM. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only five patrons. I was seated quickly and provided menus. I asked my waitress about a happy hour menu, and she promptly brought it to me. While the initial service was fine, that was the last interaction I had with her. No one checked on me, offered refills, or provided any additional service, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I felt unwelcome and, sadly, like I wasn't being treated equally based on my ethnicity. This was a deeply upsetting experience and something I've never encountered before. To top it all off, when I returned to my room that evening, I realized there was no microwave in the room. When I asked the front desk if there was a way to heat up food, I was told it would cost $25 to have a microwave brought to my room. This is absurd. After already feeling neglected and additional fees for parking and charging, this was the last straw. I ended up not eating my last day. Between the unhelpful staff, excessive fees, lack of amenities, and the unwelcoming atmosphere, my experience was terrible. I will never stay at The Kimpton Palomar Los Angeles or any Kimpton property again.
