Great hotel in a wonderfull village !

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We come regularly in Lourmain and the Moulin de Lourmarin is THE hotel in the village, so well integrated in the old village. We feel so great in there, the staff is just nice, friendly and professional. I love the fact that you can come from all around the hotel and come inside from different ways. The pool is amaizing, in the old village. Food fantastic ! One of the best Breakfast I never had, trully !

The Provence we'd dreamed about

Le Moulin is the perfect base for touring the Luberon region of Provence. Lourmarin itself is the archetypal Provence village, still retaining its charm despite the presures of tourism (unlike, for example, nearby Gordes). Below the impressive chateau, which overlooks the town, le Moulin is a haven waiting to welcome you with a glass of pastis or perhaps a wine. The bar is open all day and drinks on the terasse are a must. The restaurant is excellent too with its name reflecting its concept 'Bacheto', a Provencal term for sharing with friends. The confit lamb was exceptional and had my wife purring (and she normally avoids meat). Staff are great, all bilingual and rooms everything you'd expect. We loved it and can't wait to go back.

Relaxing hotel with great service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

A very relaxing and beautiful hotel to stay at. The village is typical for Provence and Le Moulin sits perfectly at the centre of it. We appreciated the offer of drinks on the terrace on arrival. The food in the restaurant was delicious and fairly priced. The treats left in the room were exceptional. The only bad thing were the acoustics in the restaurant but maybe due to a beautiful barrel ceiling!

Almost perfect

The hotel is situated in a beautiful village with an old chateau and vineyards within a 10 minute walk. Upon easily parking on the roadside for free, we were greeted with a complementary glass of wine which was very welcome. Our cases were taken out our car and put in our room which was in a small annexe which was very quiet. The room itself was clean and fairly spacious with minibar, safe ample wardrobe space and speaker and an iPad for you to explore the hotel amenities and village sites. The bed was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom clean, shower powerful and nice soaps and shampoos. The breakfast was excellent; mostly table service after us being given various options but some pastries and bread were self service. The only negative about the hotel experience was the ALMOST perfect pool area. It only needed a member of staff to fish out the leaves and debris now and again to make the water clear. Otherwise the pool was excellent. Staff are friendly and courteous.

Lovely hotel, fantastic location, wonderful staff

Le Moulin is a beautiful place to stay in Lourmarin, where the staff are charming and attentive. The rooms are really comfortable. The swimming pool is compact yet just right, nestled in the charming garden behind the hotel. The food in their restaurant, Bacheto, was really delicious. Of particular note were Roxanna on reception, who was so passionate about making sure that our stay was perfect, and then Matiss, behind the bar, who was such a happy character producing the best cocktails. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Just returned from a great stay at Le Moulin de Lourmarin. The town of Loumarin is truly lovely. Food was excellent, wildflowers are out in full bloom...a very friendly staff added to an excellent stay.

Le Moulin de Lourmarin couldn't have been any better! The staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel as if we were guests in their home. The room was lovely with a view of the chateau from the living area windows, and definitely had the feel of being in an apartment. The food! What can I say about the food other than it was exceptional! Every thing we ate was delicious! The town is charming, exactly what you think of when you think of Provence. We can not say enough good things about Le Moulin. We are already talking about when we can make a return visit!
