The natural choice for bon vivants the world over, Lyon charms with rustic gastronomic delights, renovated riverfronts, and cobbled alleyways bustling with artisans and craftsmen. Here, in its Renaissance heart, you'll find our iconic hotel set within a 14th-century traboule. Choose from 60 individually appointed rooms and suites, featuring heavy wooden beams, intricate works of art, and period furniture. Dine in the hotel's romantic courtyard at Michelin-starred restaurant Les Loges, spearheaded by chef Anthony Bonnet and his team. When the time comes to unwind, visit the spa, inspired by the baths of ancient Rome, or enjoy the peaceful setting of the hanging gardens with its bamboo-shaded terrace.

The hotel has lovely bones, and the Location is fantastic. however, the rooms are very small. Our little strangely laid out was very dark. There’s a bathtub in the middle of the floor and the shower leaks. The slightly above breakfast is basic and good but cost €35. Shopping and restaurants are in the area and the views of the Basilica and the cathedrals are wonderful. But the hotel is in a very high density narrow street portion of the city so Gideon I’m walking as well. The joys of being this part of town. I thought the breakfast was came with the room evidently I was corrected our last day there so I think I have eight weeks with breakfasts to pay at checkout.

This hotel is clean with a pleasant air temperature, and is in a beautifully preserved building. The pool / gym is very small but quiet. The bar was not open for most of our time there, which was disappointing as the ambience and cocktail menu was amazing. We would have liked to have been able to avail of this each evening before / after dinner. The staff were excellent, providing very useful recommendations and assistance with transfers / taxis when required. Ask for restaurant recommendations - the recommendation we got from the hotel was the best meal we had in Lyon! Unfortunately we booked the wrong restaurant in the hotel- we booked Le Comptoir in error, when our intention was to dine in Les Loges. Our meal in Le Comptoir was very disappointing. Food was average, dessert was passable, no real advice on wines. It was so disappointing to waste an evening in Lyon dining in this restaurant when there are so many other fabulous places to eat. Overall it was a lovely relaxing stay in a quiet hotel, which was perfect for exploring the old town.

Very boutique hotel in old city. Charming and great staff. No parking.. suggest not to drive there if possible but it's doable because of its location up in old city. The rooms are small but very cozy and I thought pretty cool... the whole thing is an experience. They must have spent a lot to retrofit whatever was there into this hotel. Excellent service and food. Just know it's boutique!

A absolutely beautiful hotel central to restaurants, river, shopping etc. Looking at previous reviews the hotel addressed the issue of the pool water being very cold. Nobody in pool wonder why. I tried to use the pool but unable too as very very cold. What a shame the hotel didn’t solve this easily rectifiable problem as the hotel and staff are very friendly and helpful.
