Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel

WOW!!! I can’t even find the words to describe this hotel… incredible, peaceful and just overall in awe. I have travelled to many countries and stay at 5 stars but this hotel was by far the best 5 star hotel I have stayed at. The staff are amazing. Always willing to help and never a “no” always accommodating with a smile and the phrase “ofcourse”. When we arrived we were accompanied by a staff member who explained everything in the room , how it works etc. We could get our shoes cleaned at no additional cost at the hotel ( I have never heard of it and of course took the opportunity). They ensured it would be ready the next morning before we explored this spiritual and incredible town. The beds and pillow, oh my word… let’s just say it was the best sleep I have had in a very long time, added with the sound of the river running past the hotel. Beautiful location at the end of the other hotels. The food was mouth watering with beautiful presentation. But mostly apart from the food, clean rooms and great location , what is always of importance to me is the service and the staff. All of the staff at Sumaq whether the reception staff, Bar, waiter, cleaning, or manager were so humble, accommodating, always smiling and treating when you walk past made my experience to this incredible and spiritual town to Machu Picchu even more special. The staff at the hotel offered to take our bags up to the station and waited for us until our arrival. They did not leave until we walked through the security at the train station in case we needed assistance. Thank you Sumaq and the incredible staff for a magical experience. Only wish I could have stayed longer. I hope to return one day again to Machu Picchu and will without a doubt stay at Sumaq hotel . With all my love … see you soon.

The hotel is definitely the best one in Aguascalientes. While you can argue on value for money, the service is extraordinary. Most of all I enjoyed in the hotel my massage received by Mary. If you want to stay in the best hotel in town, that’s a place to go

Amazing and relaxing couples massage experience at the Sumaq spa. Mary and Sonia were great and left us feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Amazing experience at the hotel restaurant! -Friendly staff and the food top of the line. Check in with a glass of fresh fruit drink. The hotel is very close from the town square. Very clean room and beautiful spacious bathroom. Quiet and peaceful room. The stay made us feel like royalty.
