Excellent hotel! Everything was absolutely amazing for us. We asked for quiet room so we had one facing to to the inside without any view but really quiet which was best for us. The room was big - lots of space, bed was very comfortable not too soft. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was amazing. We also had bottle of champagne and macaroons waiting for us. The staff was very helpful always with perfect English. The location is the best you can ask for. And finally - there is an amazing rooftop. If we ever get back to Madrid we definitely stay here again.

I’m not sure if all the rooms are like the one I stayed in, however I would not stay there again. I booked a “courtyard” room after viewing photos of what seemed to be a decent sized internal courtyard with plenty of natural light. What we got was a level one room with a window looking out to a small internal space staring straight into other rooms and overlooking a steel pipe with cigarette butts and an old sock on the ground with a couple of artificial potted plants in the middle. It was still dark all day. The whole hotel had a sewage smell which was masked by a strong perfume that seemed to be sprayed throughout the reception area. The lady greeting us at the breakfast buffet was not helpful or friendly and for some reason we are not allowed to enjoy our breakfast on the upper area of the room, one of the mornings I fetched my own placemat and cutlery as there were none on my table. I would not return to this hotel, which is a disappointment as I enjoy staying at the Melia in Alicante.

An absolutely fantastic hotel, very clean, modern and well positioned. The hotel staff are brilliant. A special mention to Marina G and Helen who could not possibly have been more helpful. Such lovely young ladies and a real credit to the hotel An absolute pleasure to have stayed here and will definitely be back again

I request a refund for this trip. I checked in an asked 1 thing a quite non connect room. First i get a connecting room. They moved me to another room but there the old windows rattle against the new ones and the whole night the bathroom plumbing gurgles. I asked to fix the room issues they said they did. They did not this 2nd night the old broken windows rattle even more as there is wind. They moved me to another room which is 1/2 the size and they tell me its an “upgrade” who are they kidding, what liars. I cant even open my suitcase in this room thats how small it is and guess what its a connecting room. I said to front desk i want to check out as i cant sleep like this. They said they wont refund as they offered me a solution (the small connecting room) so either sleep in a room where the windows bang against the new frame all night and the plumbing gurgles or get a tiny room under the bar thats a connecting room. Avoid at all cost. Go to the Intercontinental for better service or literally anything else
