Beautiful!

Absolutely spectacular! The location is ideal. The staff is incredibly helpful (dinner reservations) and friendly. Lastly, the palacio itself is stunning! I would go back again tomorrow.

Book carefully fellow travellers!

Be careful making a booking at this hotel. While it seems you are booking directly (as I went through the hotel website), you are booking through an intermediary. Be sure to closely check what you are booking - many rates say they are cancellable within a reasonable timeframe. I made a booking that I thought was cancellable till close to the date - however I then received a booking confirmation that said that my room was not cancellable without paying a cancellation fee that was higher than my actual room fee; that they had immediately charged my credit card the full amount of the stay PLUS US$215 taxes and service fees that were not clear on my room rate - this was a full month before I was due to arrive at the hotel. When I complained to the hotel they said speak to the booking service. When I spoke to the booking service they said it was already in the system and nothing they could do. I feel this is pretty poor form. Buyer beware.

Not value for money

Went for business. Long wait for room, no desk to work at in the room and very poor breakfast variety. Nice location though but way way over priced for what I got.

It is a 5 stars hotel but the building is not 5 stars

The flooring all over the building is old, and the mattresses are too soft. But overall everything else was so good!

Excellent service from Guest Relations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I checked in on line and dropped off my bags so that I could see the Prado before checkin. When I was ready to pickup my keys, the front desk was busy with another guest, so I logged into their wifi while I was waiting. When I got to my room, I lost my internet connection. A little experiment revealed that WiFi cut out when I entered my room. I went to the lobby and reported this to Patricia Carreño from Guest Relations. She immediately got someone to confirm the issue. After contacting the responsible company, there was not a firm estimate for when things would be fixed. Patricia then offered to move me to another room (I accepted; it’s hard to arrange tours, checkin for flights, etc. without wifi) and even helped move some of my things! After I had moved, I realized that the new room didn’t have a luggage rack, so she helped me access my original room to move the rack I had delivered. Excellent service!
