Excellent room condition, everywhere, even inside the lift , was super clean and tidy. Bed duvet and pullow were perfect. Bathroom had a little heater to warm up the room and towel. Breakfast buffet selection was amazing, tasty German Breads, good choices of cold cuts, warm dishes, Eggs, choices for vegetarian were available as well and chilled champagne was also available!

Stayed at this hotel with Gate 1/Discovery tours. King bed was comfortable and feather pillows were great. Nice size room. Mini bar, bathrobe, slippers, complimentary water. Breakfast buffet had good choices and can order specialty coffee and eggs from waitstaff.

Wow - great hotel

The hotel was wonderful, with a serene view of the Rhine. Watching boats drift along the river was a fantastic experience. The room was clean, spacious, and a comfortable retreat after conference days in Mainz. The bathroom, especially the shower, was excellent. I highly recommend choosing a river-view room for a peaceful stay.

Wonderful stay, from the moment I checked in. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. My room was very spacious, quiet with a beautiful view of the river. Breakfast was included in my rate and was amazing. Location was also perfect, with a supermarket right next door and a short walk to the main square. I also enjoyed the pool, which was clean and really pleasant. All in all, 10/10!

LOVED IT! Stay here when transiting or visiting the Frankfurt area.

We loved our stay so much at the HR Mainz that we extended our stay twice. As a Globalist, I was upgraded to a beautiful River View Club Room overlooking the Rhine- what a site to wakeup to. Rooms are a tad dated but the beds were supremely comfortable and rooms have new TVs (although the TVs could use a wider selection of English channels). Location is fantastic, just a 30 minute ride on the S8 train from Frankfurt Airport to the Mainz Romisches Theater station, and from Mainz Romisches Theater an easy downhill walk (15 minutes) with luggage. We looked forward to buffet breakfast each morning at Bellpepper. The buffet spread was delicious and we still reminisce fondly of our many meals there. Likewise we loved the evening meals at the Regency Club- probably one of the best RCs in Europe that I've experienced. There is always a soup, seafood appetizer, delicious array of German breads, dessert, and a fine selection of complimentary local German wines (Mainz is the wine capital of Germany afterall!) The location couldn't have been better. On the Rhine riverbank, just a 10-15 minute walk from the Gutenburg Museum and Domplatz. We already booked our return visit in November. We plan to stop at the HR Mainz as much as possible in the future. Compliments to Alexandra at the Regency Club, Teresa at the breakfast check-in, Marinna and Mikel at the front desk. They were all very welcoming and friendly and made our stay a superb and memorable one.
