Discovery Shores Boracay

We stayed in a 2 bedroom premier suite with my wife and our toddler. Overall an ok experience but very overpriced. Bathrooms are tired and in need of renovation. Faucets and shower didn’t work in the hall bathroom. Safety deposit box came off the wall during routine use. The only reason it doesn’t get 2 stars from me is because the service was exceptional throughout our stay, from the restaurant to housekeeping staff. Definitely 5 star service, but for this price point I expected much nicer facilities. Pool is very small For those with small children, the resort is not easy to navigate because it has a tremendous amount of stairs with an elevator that doesn’t go to the top of the resort. They put a baby gate up for us for the stairs in our unit which was a nice touch. Pool has a shallow end for young children. Kids center is extremely small and lacks a lot of toys for younger babies.

Discovery Boracay has a high sticker price, but definitely earns it back. The resort experience begins with complimentary transport from the airport - van to the port, a quick boat ride to the island, and another van to the resort proper. The staff is attentive and ready to help, and the rooms come pre-stocked with complimentary snacks and water for you to eat something and freshen up. Combined with the welcome drink and room orientation, the staff makes sure you're set up for your stay. Discovery also helps you get the most out of your holiday. You can book trips through the hotel concierge, get a shuttle into town subject to availability, or enjoy the three-hour happy hour at the bar by the beach - to say nothing of dipping in the pool or at the beach, where the staff will happily provide you towels or point you to the recliners. Once it's time to fly home (it'll feel sooner than you hoped), your trip back is also covered by the hotel. By the way, they have a thing for teddy bears. If you think bears are cute, book this resort.

Service was extra. It was superb. My second time in discovery, and for sure will make this a regular. Been to other hotels around station 1 and 2 bora. Nothing compares their service. Plus the purest sand beach front. Great breakfast buffet. And the frequent snack offers. My tummy was always full. Thank you discovery! Booking my next trip there already 😅

What a wonderful stay we had at Discovery Shores in Boracay! I highly recommend staying here. From the time we stepped out from the airport, we were taken care of by the resort staff. Discovery Shores had staff waiting for us at the airport to take us on their private transport to the resort. We were given a bracelet so the staff can identify us as their guest. They took our luggage and directed us to the van. Boracay is on a different island so we had to take a boat. Discovery Shores had their own boat to transport their guests to their resort and we by passed all the tourists who had to line up for transit and find their own way to their hotel. When we arrived at Discovery Shores after 30 minutes (airport-pier in a van, pier-pier on a boat, pier-resort in a van), we were greeted by the hospitality staff with a cold calamansi drink. Our group stayed in a Signature 2 bedroom suite that was AMAZING! It was a great place to gather together as we had other family members staying in the resort. The two bedroom Signature suite had a bedroom with a king size bed with an ensuite and another bedroom with two twin beds with an ensuite. Both rooms were very spacious. The suite also had a large living room and dining room. The balcony had a private swimming pool. Discovery Shores is situated in Station One and has the best beach I have ever been to, better than the Caribbean and Hawaiian beaches. The white sand was fine and the water was crystal clear! Breakfast was included and the selection of food was wonderful at Sands Restaurant. Thank you to all the servers at the Sands especially Marianne, our server, and Philip, the Food and Beverage manager who went out of their way to get us what we needed. We also had a great seafood dinner at Indigo with Cejay as our attentive server. My sisters and I all had great experiences at the Terra Spa. We enjoyed our 90 minutes deep tissue massages with Daisy and Janice. All the staff we have encountered were very polite. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Discovery Shores.

Our family recently stayed at Discovery Shores Boracay for 3 days and 2 nights, and as residents of Boracay Island, we couldn’t believe how different and refreshing the experience was. It truly felt like we were on a proper vacation! What stood out the most was the incredible service. Every single staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely proactive in ensuring our comfort. For instance, my daughter and I spent our mornings lounging on the beach mats, and without even asking, the staff would promptly bring us towels and water. It’s those thoughtful gestures that make you feel so cared for. The pool was pristine, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing—so many delicious options and such a generous spread. We also loved the complimentary snacks throughout our stay; it’s such a nice touch that made us feel pampered. The rooms were spotless and perfectly maintained, adding to the overall comfort. The highlight of our stay was the thoughtful surprise the team prepared for my daughter. As a final hurrah, they set up a beautiful teepee in our room just for her, complete with a handwritten note. My daughter absolutely loves cards and letters, so this simple yet heartfelt gesture made her incredibly happy and added such a personal touch to our stay. But the best part? My daughter declaring that Discovery Shores is her favorite hotel of all time! And honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Thank you for creating such a magical and memorable experience for our family.
