The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands

My fiancée and I spent about a week at the Ritz and we had the time of our lives. Given the pictures we had seen before getting there as well as the reputation of the Ritz Carlton brand, our expectations were high to start with. However, they were exceeded in every regard. While there have been so many things that made this trip unique, the number one thing is the staff on the island. Their friendliness, thougtfulness, as well as insane ability to memorize everything made every interaction feel warm and genuine. Ibbe, our Aris Meeha, organized everything for us and on many occasions surprised us with nice gestures and initiatives, for example preparing a bubble bath while we were at dinner. He was always available and a big reason why we could just focus on relaxing. Anastasiia was seemingly always around when we needed her, no matter where we were, and was able to anticipate what we needed before we had even thought of it. Her friendliness has been outstanding throughout. Rifau always took the best care of us at La Locanda, where we had breakfast almost every day and several dinners. He always took a lot of time to chat with us about all sorts of things and imparted a lot of Maldivian fun facts onto us. Mahdhy is one of the personal coaches with whom we took a few of the organized classes. He went out of his way to accommodate our interests in the sessions and even changed the program and did boxing with us because we were interested. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a personal session on top. There are many more people who have been outstandingly kind over the week - thanks to all of you! The island is gorgeous with its white sand, water in different shades of blue, palm trees, and lush green bushes, which made it not feel like a recently man-made island at all. Our villa was spacious and well-designed. We especially loved the outdoor shower and the sundeck. Finally, the food in the restaurants was diverse but always outstanding. Every single meal we had we had to pace ourselves because there were so many delicious options. Hands down, if you get a chance to stay here, we would strongly recommend you do - it doesn’t get better than this.

Our time at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, was memorable—a very beautiful resort where every detail is done well. The hard work and enthusiasm of the whole team, called the "Ladies and Gentlemen of Ritz-Carlton," made our visit special. Each staff member was very friendly, attentive, and truly wanted to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Our trip started with a fancy private yacht ride, which set the stage for a wonderful getaway. We also took a sunset cruise on a private yacht, which was a truly lovely experience that we will remember. Snorkeling on the house reef was another great part, showing us the lively marine life just near our overwater villa. The dining options were diverse and varied, with each restaurant bringing its own flavors and vibes. We enjoyed special themed nights, such as the Lobster Dinner on the beach, the Maldivian Buffet Dinner, and a Halloween Cocktail & Dinner Buffet. Every meal was a treat, nicely presented and very well made. Breakfast every morning was a real feast, with a huge variety of options and many custom extras that made it special. We loved unique items like the crispy Italian waffle, comforting Miso soup, and refreshing coffee frappe—each made just right. From tropical fruit choices to made-to-order dishes and delicate pastries, every detail was carefully considered. The chefs and staff did a great job, offering special touches that made each morning feel different and tailored to our preferences—a great way to start each day. The couple spa experience was outstanding. The spa suite was relaxing, and the treatments were excellent. We also enjoyed meditation and yoga, which helped us feel balanced. The fitness center had excellent equipment and a beautiful view, encouraging us to keep active. Each evening, we were impressed by the lovely sunsets in the Maldives, with colors like pink, orange, and purple. Watching the sun go down from our villa or a sunset cruise on the yacht was memorable. The calmness of the moment, combined with the ocean view, made it special—every sunset felt like a private show just for us. The best part of our stay was our wonderful host, Aris Meeha, Affan. He was friendly and caring, always making us feel valued and ensuring everything went smoothly. The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, is a beautiful place where luxury and detail come together well. We recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway in the Maldives.

Our trip was absolutely perfect and couldn’t have been any better! From our arrival in Male the staff greeted us and helped us navigate easily to our boat ride to the resort. We then were greeted by the amazing staff. Our aris meeha Arafath was so attentive to our needs and beyond thoughtful for our special occasions making our stay so memorable! Every staff member we had contact with was so genuine and kind! We’ve never experienced a level of service and kindness throughput an entire stay like we did here. I wish we could name every employee because they were all so wonderful and we thank you for everything!

What an unreal experience!! My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. This is a long review, but TLDR… STAY HERE!!! 10/10 experience!!! When we landed, we were greeted by Lana who was our airport escort. She handled all of our bags and even bought us cold water because it was a hot day. She was also the one who helped us when we headed back for departure and she is awesome! So friendly, helpful, and just made the start and end of our trip amazing. We rode the speedboat for around 50 minutes and got to the resort and was greeted by our Aris Meeha, Emma. I can’t say enough good things about Emma. She truly paid attention to the small details for us and made sure we had everything we needed. We walked into the beautiful room with fresh fruits and a handful of different desserts. Throughout our stay, she would leave us surprises like a drawn bath with a cute honeymoon message and wine. It made us feel so loved and special. Emma, thank you for caring for us throughout our stay. We really appreciated you!! Ahusan and Fiyaz were our villa attendants who made our stay so amazing! Not only did they leave the rooms SPOTLESS every single day, they created towel art and sand art to personalize things for us and we always looked forward to see what creature would appear at our doorstep! Our island life was very relaxed with a lot of snorkeling and biking to explore the island. There is an entertainment room where Usam was working. He is very friendly and even played ping pong with us when we challenged him! Eau bar was a Japanese restaurant in the middle of the island where we dined at for lunch the first day. We had Jo as our server and he was so friendly as well! Very attentive and even personalized some drinks for us and was a great start and a wonderful surprise to our day. Highly recommend the salmon and tuna poke for lunch. For dinner, we were served by Tom who was also very attentive and friendly! I drink a lot of water and my glass was never empty. If I could choose the lunch meal or dinner, I would definitely choose the poke! The rolls for dinner were only okay. La Laconda is the main restaurant for their breakfast buffet but they also serve lunch and dinner. We had Rifau as our server and he is AMAZING! We bonded right away and shared stories together about snorkeling, the island, etc. He also had wonderful recommendations for all the food and everything we had was delicious. I can’t say enough great things about how much he truly went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. We would stop by his restaurant just to say hi because of how great he is and how much we would miss him when we left. Arabesque was my favorite restaurant during our stay. This was recommended by Rifau who I mentioned above and is actually at the sister property, Patina. You do need to ride the boat to get there. Chef Khaled, Chef Iman, & Faru truly gave us the most amazing experience for both lunch and dinner. If I can recommend anything, it would definitely be the Butter Chicken. IT WAS SO GOOD we got it at both lunch and dinner. Their hummus is also VERY good. The chefs are so talented that we were truly shocked every time we got to try their food. Their desserts and drinks are also very good, you won’t regret trying anything there. I will literally be dreaming of the food here for the rest of my life lol. I wanted to give another shoutout to the chefs and servers at all the restaurants. Everyone we interacted with was so caring and it felt like we were a big family. They truly made our experience the most unforgettable.

Our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Maldives was the babymoon of our dreams. The island itself is breathtaking, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service from The Ritz-Carlton Team. Our butler, or Aris Meeha, Abu, ensured that every detail was perfect, surprising us with one thoughtful, custom touch after another, always with a warm smile. Abu's attention to detail made us feel completely cared for and elevated our experience to new heights. Another highlight was our housekeeper, Mango, whose daily visits were more than just room service; he radiated the joyful Maldivian spirit and infused our days with happiness. Mango, Abu, and the entire staff—from the spa therapists and executive chef to the landscapers—all greeted us with warmth, often with a hand over their heart, taking time to make us feel like family. The dining experiences across the resort were diverse and incredible, with a wide variety of cuisines that kept each meal exciting and new. We enjoyed everything from diving and tennis to a private massage lesson at the spa. A romantic sunset beach dinner was the cherry on top. For an expecting mother at 29 weeks, it was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and be pampered. This is the ideal destination for a honeymoon, babymoon, or any special occasion. We hope to return with our son one day so he, too, can enjoy the Ritz Club. Despite the long journey from Los Angeles, it was absolutely worth it, and we can’t wait to return!
