Casa Piazza at La Punta
Manzanillo, Mexico
Love the location. The owners weren’t there but Miguel was an excellent host. Punta Mita is a great village with most things if you know where to look. Bus transportation to and from Bucerias is easy. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk. Changes are coming though the property across the way was being surveyed when we stayed there.

I have stayed here for the last 12 years on and off. The listing says it’s on four seasons property, this is incorrect. It is in Emiliano zapata in Mita. Take left just past school and bus stop just after second set of speed bumps after road to Higuera Blanca. Stay left stay left when you get a block from the beach you will see it on your right side. Can’t miss it. The 50 foot lap pool is awesome. Rooms are large and well stocked. Full kitchens, if you love to cook this is your place( I do ). They have paddle boards, kayaks, etc. a quick walk to beach (1) minute ( go to beach and buy fresh oysters the guy fish for them right there , buy them from them. The fish, pastry, vegetable guys come by weekly in their trucks. Many mini Mercado’s around close for fresh vegetables or fruit Authentic taco stands and restaurants close (Norma’s for Pazole or enchiladas ). You will enjoy the hosts David and Irene( irene is the best cook in the world ) and Charlie was he dog loves ham. Litibu golf course close and challenging ( ask for hector ). Maybe I’ll see you here

Casa Las Palmas is a beautiful small hotel. The rooms are huge and range from one bedrooms to two bedrooms. Each room has a kitchen (with a stove, refrigerator, and dinnerware) , sitting area, bathroom, and outdoor patio. Casa Las Palmas really feels like a home away from home. Dave and Irene are wonderful hosts. This was my first time staying here and they made me feel like I was a part of their family. There is ample parking, a pool, and a block away from the beach. I felt extremely safe staying here. I love this place and will definitely be coming back again.

We stayed with Irene and Dave for several days in April, 2016. We are just in the process of booking another stay for November, 2016 and this time we are bringing family members with us. We realized we hadn't posted a review before when we went to re-book and we feel very badly about that because Casa Las Palmas is such a neat place. It is only about a block form the beach and in a very nice, quiet peaceful area of Punta Mita. Although this is not a 5 star hotel, the rooms are all very neat & tidy and all of the are quite unique. Many of them have excellent views of the ocean. We felt that the value we were getting for our money was excellent at Casa Las Palmas and most importantly, that Irene & Dave were very helpful hosts!!!

I HIGHLY recommend staying at Casa Las Palmas. Dave and Irene are so inviting. I have been lucky enough to stay here a few times and always tell everyone they HAVE to go to Punta de Mita and stay here. The location is perfectly tucked at the edge of town. Its walking distance to pretty much everything you could need. The beach is just across the cobblestone street. Beautiful white sand, quiet and (other than Sundays) you can expect to be one of the few people enjoying it. Once you get back from the beach there is an outdoor shower to wash off the salt and sand. The lap pool is perfect for those days when you just want to lay in a chair, read a book or work on your tan. From the rooftop patios you can see endlessly across the ocean, out to The Marieta Islands (beautiful spot for snorkeling, worth taking the short boat trip over to with the added bonus of a possible humpback sighting), to the south is an excellent surf break called La Lancha as well as the lights of Vallarta in the far distance, and to the North is the rest of town and the point. Head out for the day fishing and you might even be lucky enough to have Irene prepare your catch for dinner! :) Whether you are there just for a short stay or for a month or more, it will feel like home very quickly. Can't say enough good things about Casa Las Palmas!!!
