Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain

Horrible experience & poor customer service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I’ve stayed at many Ritz Carleton resorts and have always had a great experience up until my RC Dove Mountain experience. I would highly recommend either Lowe’s Ventana Canyon Resort or Hacienda del Sol Resort if you should ever choose to vacation in the Tucson AZ area.

Nice property but it was better one to two years ago.

We have stayed at this property numerous times over the past 4 years. The last was about a year ago. Things have changed for the worst. We heard it’s attributed to the manager. Prices are up, have to pay for parking even if you come for dinner. Used to do a free mixology class daily, now it’s $40, prices are up, the menu in ignite is smaller and Prices are up. It’s still a great property but it has a nickel and dime you vibe I am a Marriott platinum member and have upgrade awards and was denied an upgrade even though the hotel was virtually empty.

Wonderful hotel!

I think if 10 out of 5 stars was a possibility, I’d make that my rating. This is our second stay at this property, and every minute of it was delightful. I’m a hard core Marriott fan and a picky hotel customer, and the ladies and gentlemen here really shine to make this hotel a gem. First, the property is beautiful, set in the intersection of two mountains and there are stunning surroundings. Our rooms on both visits were upgraded (thanks for recognizing your Elite guests) and were quiet, comfortable and full of amenities. Exactly what you expect at a luxury hotel. The staff are amazing here. Every single person we encountered—from the valet staff, to Nicholas at the front desk, to Dylan downstairs in the bar, were thoughtful, professional, and understand how to deliver service at a five star property with grace. Enjoyed a nice afternoon in the spa and the team there were so terrific as well. Absolutely a perfect visit. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Wow! What a fantastic hotel!!! We had the royal suite, which has 200 matters of fine design, an amazing desert view from everywhere, a nice balcony, and everything you can imagine. The food was great, the service was excellent. The location is so unique. Beautiful nature in all of its glory.

Very pricey hotel, beautiful views though

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I stayed at the Ritz last week for a wedding weekend celebration. The hotel was nice but it didn’t have anything luxurious. The rooms were big but they had a very loud noise at the room we stayed in so we told the receptionist about it & they kindly transferred us to a different room which we really appreciated. As for the hotel it’s very pricey & it’s in the middle of nowhere and far away from the city. As for the breakfast area it was ok not a lot of variety and it’s a bit pricey too. The hotel has a beautiful mountain view & plenty of cactus plants around the area which is a very beautiful scenery. Overall experience was nice and the hospitality management was really nice & quite helpful too.
