Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort

The property at Tranquility Bay is beautiful with a quaint feeling. Our villa was well equipped for a family stay, but as others mentioned—it’s quite dated and could use updating. Many villas were tented with a hideous black and red tarp for termite treatment during our stay and this was not disclosed. The food at both Butterfly Cafe and TJ’s was excellent. The website says live entertainment at the tiki bar from 6-9 daily. During our 5 night stay there was only music one night. We received a 20% off coupon for use at both TJ’s and Butterfly Cafe. Employees seemed confused as some returned the card after each use to be reused and others said the coupon was for a one time use. Nothing on the card itself clarified and it was a hassle each time we tried to use it. On the fridge in our villa was a magnet that said you’d receive a free bottle of wine with the purchase of two entrees at both TJ’s and Butterfly. Servers at both restaurants had no idea what we were referring to. The magnet on the fridge also said we could have food delivered to the pool but we were told that was not possible. During our entire 6 day stay the water sports were never open, even though we were told upon check in that they would be. There was also no yoga as listed under activities. we booked a Family Reunion offer via the resort website. Upon checkin, the staff had no idea what I was talking about. While the resort was apologetic, ultimately they were unable to deliver the package that they advertise on their site. They did send pool toys to the room and send us to the Turtle Hospital. It seemed very bizarre that there were many things offered for use during our stay, but they were not delivered upon. Lastly, there is no EV charger on site for anyone with an electric rental car.

This property lives up to its name. Very tranquil. Great spot to recharge. Otis at the front desk is so knowledgeable. Also had a great interaction with Elizabeth. Dinner at the Butterfly Cafe was amazing. Jose seated us at a lovely corner table inside and our waiter Anthony was wonderful. The filet was delicious. Definitely a wonderful time. Looking forward to our next stay.

I love this place. The staff are amazing and they really do make the experience special. Gabrielle always remembers us and really cares about making sure everything is done right. This is our 4 trip in a year. We will be back. By the way the food at the Butterfly cafe is amazing. Jasmine is a great server!

Upon walking into the lobby at Tranquility Bay, the front desk staff was so kind and inviting! We got to the resort a little early and our villa wasn't ready yet, but the front desk staff held our luggage for us while we enjoyed the resort. We walked around to get the lay of the land and ended up at TJ's Tiki Bar for a frozen cocktail right there on the beach. It was so beautiful! Once we got to our villa it was much bigger than I expected. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items, pots, pans, plate, cups, etc. One morning, we had a breakfast box delivered to our villa and it was so great! The breakfast box had so much food! We had enough for the next morning. Definitely worth the money.

The resort is like a home away from home. Everyone is just so nice. When you walk around you will see nothing but warm smiles and hard workers. They really care about the resort and it shows in how well the grounds are maintained and the rooms are spotless! Stay here if you need to recharge your batteries!
