About the Hotel

Stylish and sophisticated, the newly opened Alanda Hotel Marbella is everything you might expect from a first-class hotel. Located in Marbella in the heart of Spain's Costa del Sol, near what's commonly referred to as the Golden Mile, the hotel features an array of plush rooms and luxury suites. The façade, a modern four-level structure bedecked with plenty of glass and a fleet of balconies, looks contemporary and fresh to the first-time visitor, while the interiors respectfully buck tradition with a streamlined, minimalist look.

Great base to explore the area situated at the end of the Golden Mile.

Weekend away celebrating a friends birthday. The staff were very helpful. Lovely clean room overlooking the pool (albeit it was closed). Great buffet breakfast served in the main building. Spa & parking charged extra!! As the hotel is classed as a ‘wellness’ hotel no alcohol is served!! Initially we struggled to find restaurants close by except NOBO but later found the next door ‘Forum’ had a host of eateries! Also enjoyed lunch at a beach restaurant that was close by. We relied on taxis & buses to get into Marbella. Could do with some bikes for clients use

Disappointing off peak

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed off peak at this hotel in December 2024. Nowhere on the website or anywhere else does it say that the outdoor pool is closed. In addition from the website, it looked like there was an indoor pool. It was part of the spa and tiny. I don’t recommend staying here off peak season due to the lack of the pool facilities. We were also asked to pay to use the Indoor pool attached to the spa at the rate of 25 euros per adult for a 2 hour session and children could go in free. We were never told and neither is it advertised that there is a charge to use the indoor pool. Because of the lack of facilities such as the pool and the children being disappointed, we decided to hire a car and travel to Cordoba and Granada and explore the region whilst there. That wasn’t the plan but we didn’t have a choice due to the children being bored and not doing anything.

Disappointing 5-stars

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

We stayed 10 nights at this 5-stars hotel. Beautiful facades, pool and garden. Good room-service, polite employees. BUT hard bed, hard pillows, noisy AC at night. Barking dog outside every morning and at bedtime. Breakfast room with low ceiling night, crowded and noisy, more like a 3 stars. No change in food options during our stay. The on-site restaurant was not uplifting. We chose to dine at the nearby tennis club. BUT WORST, the internet. Extremely low speed and the net off and on all the time. Not better in the reception area. Don’t stay in this hotel if you are in need of a fast and reliable internet. Pool opened as late as 10am. Not heated. To get a pre-breakfast swim, we had to find an alternative way into the pool area, enforcing a locked gate. Next time we will choose the 4-stars Flag hotel in nearby Estepona. Same pricing but lot more value for monies.

The best in Marbella

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

It’s the best in Marbella, and the best in the world, in terms of quality, location and extra ordinary services. Mr.Khaldon did a great a Job. I have been here for many times, great atmosphere, the spa looks soo elegant, and nice people there.
