Don Carlos Leisure Resort & Spa

Brilliant hotel and stay - stayed here 4 times now, absolute quality in all areas: location / food / pool / beach club + facilities etc 👌 Also for what you pay excellent value IMO and 15mins from Marbella and the harbour restaurants etc Highly recommend!

Excellent experience here - the staff are so well-mannered, helpful and polite. They are well presented at all times and always willing to assist. The breakfast buffet is one of the best i've ever encountered and I have stayed at the Four Seasons before. Absolutely incredible. The hotel is right by the beach and it is will equipped with plenty of sun loungers and was very clean. A wonderful stay all in in all. I'd also recommend paying a paid visit to the spa next door to the hotel. It is wonderful too.

Excellent staff and all very friendly but hotel is in so much of a need of upgrade. Learned hotel closing in 3 days for 1 year to renovate. Our room looked out to back of hotel and we were subjected to a noisy generator day and night emitting steam going over our balcony. Room was basic and furniture old and tables not level. Bathroom & shower were excellent. Carpet stained and old. Some tiles round pool were broken. €9 for a glass of tap beer was hugely overpriced as was food and drinks, which is why few people used the bar at night. No entertainment despite having a piano in bar…The look and design of the hotel is so outdated but set in fantastic grounds. It’s at best 4 star charging premium 5 star prices. They really need to reinvent themselves when returning in a year. Whilst I’m interested to see the upgrade, I won’t be returning to Don Carlos. I will reiterate that the staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Have had an amazing experience so far. Juan Francisco at the pool bar was very attentive and helpful. He made sure our drinks were yummy and kept them coming :) look forward to the reopening of the Don Carlos post renovation!

Great hotel experience, the checkin was fast and efficient. Because we arrived early, it was a pleasant surprise that the rooms were available. The food and service is great. The rooms are luxurious and very clean. The cleaning lady provided clean towels several times a day. And I had a nice view of the sea!
