The Oberoi, Marrakech

Outstanding, this was our first stay with the Oberoi, and was swept away by the hospitality and service standards. The Oberoi is classes above other supposed 5 star hotels, offering fine cuisines and cigar lounges, perfect for adults. The hotel has ample height allowing light to flood in and give you a feeling of space throughout. this hotel is a palace with large gardens for walking and leisure activities. We have become members and are planning an extended multi stay in India for 2025.

The Oberon hotel in Marrakech is in a word outstanding. We were met on arrival by multiple staff and shown our rooms. The rooms were elegant and comfortable with every modern amenity. The staff is gracious and helpful and excellent in every way. The grounds are beautiful and the dining is fantastic. The breakfast is absolute superb. I cannot say enough about this hotel- it excelled in every way.

In terms of service by far one of my best experiences, right from the general manager Rohan Ogale to their conceirge Samir to their housekeeping , garden staff, security all have the warmest greetings, very comfortable stay, very friendly hotel for kids, customised plans for kids for adults, very good scenic hotel to stay. Away from the busy city good for a staycation. Loved every bit of my stay and will always be an Oberoi loyalist

For the second part of our Moroccan adventure, my friend and I moved closer to the Atlas Mountains. Our perfect retreat was a five-night stay at The Oberoi, Marrakech. This breathtaking resort is set amidst 28 acres of fragrant orchards and olive groves, with the Atlas Mountains as a stunning backdrop. Even before we arrived, we experienced unparalleled generosity, luxury, and warmth. For instance, we were offered a complimentary upgrade to a private villa with a pool! Guest Experience: An exceptional welcome set the tone, with the General Manager personally greeting us – a gesture that exemplifies The Oberoi's commitment to personalised service. The arrival experience, with its stunning Atlas Mountain views and magnificent architecture, created an unforgettable first impression, with the whole team ready to make our holiday special. Accommodation: Our villa offered a sophisticated blend of Moroccan artistry and modern comfort, although the layout felt slightly busy. It included a private pool, terrace, bathroom, bedroom with a sofa and dining table, and a well-proportioned walk-in wardrobe. The bedding was comfortable, although one day the fresh sheets showed some wear. There were also some issues with slow drainage in the shower, which we heard other guests mention. One area for improvement: the hotel could consider more eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic toiletries. Food and Beverage: The food quality was exceptional. Culinary offerings shone with authentic Moroccan and international dishes. The Indian restaurant is an essential visit for any guest. The complimentary welcome wine and treats were a thoughtful touch. Each restaurant maintained high standards in both service and quality, creating memorable dining experiences throughout our stay. Every meal and cocktail comes with an outstanding view. Facilities and Amenities: The stunning main pool area offers breathtaking views, although service responsiveness could be improved – the call buttons weren't functioning effectively during our visit, and it sometimes took a while to attract the team's attention. Architecturally, the resort is beautiful, with breathtaking views around every corner. The sunbeds, while easily adjustable for tracking the sun, have somewhat awkward arms that impact comfort. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Impeccable cleanliness throughout the property reflects strong attention to detail. The grounds are meticulously maintained, with beautiful gardens and pristine public spaces. Our room was spotless with twice daily housekeeping visits. Staff and Service: Beyond the pool area, service was exemplary. Staff demonstrated remarkable attention to detail and anticipated our needs before they arose. Their genuine warmth and professionalism created a truly luxurious experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was well-trained and genuinely eager to please. Special thanks to Abdemasad, Khalid, and Mehdi, you made our stay all the more enjoyable. And not least Mamdouh, the consummate professional! Location and Accessibility: The location is remote, perfectly positioned for tranquillity and spectacular Atlas Mountain views. However, it is not ideal for quick trips into the Medina. Value for Money: Exceptional! Worth every penny. The world-class service and amenities delivered outstanding value. Overall Atmosphere and Brand Consistency: The Oberoi, Marrakech, delivers an elegant and serene escape, staying true to the high standards of the Oberoi brand. It successfully balances opulent luxury with authentic Moroccan character and service excellence. The staff at this resort are exceptional, making our stay all the more special. While there are some minor areas for improvement, the overall experience was fantastic.
