Stamford Plaza Melbourne

Wonderful stay for a weekend trip. The location was perfect - a short walk to the tennis, and restaurants and theatre in the CBD right outside the door. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable, with block out curtains and no street noise ensuring a perfect sleep. The rooftop pool was great with roof open in good weather and closed when it wad rainy. A nice bonus was being able to watch the tennis from the spa. Reception and concierge went above and beyond, they were friendly and generous. This included helping me with recommendations on events, searching for the type of charger I needed for my laptop, and helping me with luggage and parking.

The are was very close to the main market and everything (busses, cafes, trams, restaurants were easily accessible) Just around 200m or 250m walk, you would enter the mail market in Melbourne with variety of shopping options and cuisines. The staff was very humble and understood our tiredness of traveling 14 hours. She gave us early checking happily.

Just awful….. save yourself for a better experience elsewhere . I’m feeling very ripped off! It’s not about the money it’s about the limited time one has to have a holiday, and how people in this position can ensure you have a great experience

Picked this hotel due as it was a well known brand and due to its location. The package options available with this facility were excellent with the option to include parking (5 min walk from the hotel) breakfast and late check out really suited us for our stay. Hotel staff very friendly. Breakfast had a variety of options including chef to cook your eggs as part of the inclusions. Hotel presents well and room spacious for a city hotel.

Accessibility at this hotel is a major issue. Not suitable for wheelchair or mobility walker users. Location is good, but for us the lack of accessibility in the hotel, eg access to the breakfast buffet only via stairs, and the room category we booked not having accessible bathrooms, ruined our stay.
