W Melbourne with its rebellious Flinders Lane address takes its design cues from the streets of Australia's cultural capital, holding the back-lane entrance keys to what's new/next in the city CBD. Revealing a playground where the early risers to the late-night revellers can turn up the tracks. Extending the laneway culture in, 294 bold hotel rooms and suites peel back the layers and revel in the city's history.

W Hotels are my go-to hotels when traveling and the W Melbourne is now my favorite! The staff was impeccable and the room was awesome! Thanks for a memorable week!

Great stay at the W Melbourne leading up to and after the Australian Grand Prix. The hotel has a great location for accessing the river front with plenty of restaurants and bars, as well as local train station. Free Tram covers the tourist portion of this area as well with a convenient stop just out the back door and up some stairs. Hotel breakfast was very nice, with a nice coffee bar. The shining star of our stay was Margo at the concierge desk. She took care of our every request, suggested wonderful restaurants and was constantly checking in on us to see what we needed. Top notch service and we hope to visit again soon! (Thanks Margo!!). Only somewhat negative comment I can make is the rooms are not brightly lit so on a cloudy day, it can be hard to get much light in the rooms despite having large windows--guess this is part of the modern/edgy design!

Amazing hotel, Staff was so welcoming and polite. The rooms had everything a traveling guy needs! From breakfast at Lollo to drinks at Curious, I loved it all. Made the list of best places to stay in my book and I am in 50 different Marriotts a year!!

We had a wonderful stay at the W Melbourne. The service across the board was exceptional — from the front desk to room service, every interaction with staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The only downside was breakfast; while the food was great, the service seemed overwhelmed by the volume of guests, and coffee orders took quite a while. Other than that, we felt very well looked after and would happily stay again!

We stayed here the night before and the day/night of our wedding. The room was large and lovely. Very dimly lit, if light is your thing. When we checked in they didn’t tell us anything about the hotel, not even where the lifts were to get to our room. The person on reception suggested since we were getting married the next day we should have wedding photos in the Curious bar. We checked it out the night before and it was lovely, perfect for cutting cake photos however it was closed on the day of our wedding and no one was willing to help us. This was very disappointing, as the reception person had given us the wrong information. One reason we wanted to stay at the hotel was for photo opportunities for our wedding, as the hotel looks so colourful and funky online. The most interesting photo opportunities would be the Curious bar, not much else to see. I would not stay here again, not value for money and staff didn’t know what they were talking about.
