Crown Metropol Melbourne

Came to Melbourne for the 2017 darts masters. Lovely hotel upon arrival excellent staff at reception our room was on the 21st floor lovely view of the city from the very large window well appointed room spacious and neat open plan bathroom wasnt my thing but loved the glass doors on toilet and shower a few stray hairs that were not ours in ther shower only thing that was wrong really couldn't fault the rest beautifully comfy huge bed with pillow menu available extensive mini bar ,safe and iron if needed, room service available all night and day quick and tasty house keeping anytime if day great bar's and restaurants in the hotel but extensive shopping eating and casino just a short walk away

This hotel cannot be considered 5 star accommodation. No bellboy. No turndown. 1 pillow per person. No rode. No poolside service. No rooftop bar. The only upgrade in the last 10 years has been the soft close toilet seats. 4 star hotel at best.

Arrived at this 5 star Hotel Saturday pm, the three concierge watched me carry 2 large cases from the taxi drop off to reception. When I booked in at reception the receptionist then asked of if I needed assistance with the bags, no concierge on site surprise surprise! Next day left hotel at 9am and returned at 5pm, our room had not been made up, the cleaning staff were on the room next day and we wrongly assumed we would be next. When we returned at 5.45pm our room was still not made up. I called guest services who apologized then said it would not be made up every 3 days unless we left the service light on. Guest services then said they would send someone, nobody arrived, my wife walked to thee cleaners room on our floor and asked the cleaners to service our room, as she left they started to laugh about not doing it. Finally they arrived with clean towels and were going to leave without making the bed ? Rubbish is left out side most of the rooms all day ( see images) This on not acceptable Customer service in my opinion, it is meant to be a premium 5 Star Hotel on the Crown Casino development. The Hotel seems to be run at the convenience of the staff not the Customs. There are Many Hotels in Melbourne best avoid if you want customer service.

Modern, stylish and very slick! I had a corner room, which was a good choice. Having two walls of windows and electric curtains make morning wake-up a treat. Products in the bathroom were great. Huge comfortable bed with loads of pillows. I didn't use any of the amenities but keen to go back and try the pool and gym.

Very outdated… no usb sockets next to your bedside. The only usb socket didn’t work. The shower and toilet outdated. Orange carpet… No bath robes had to call to get some. Pool water not clean. All in all out Metropol was not worth the money (promenade so much more better with better view and cheaper!) Would not return…
