We had a family stay at Crown Metropol, and it was fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the service was friendly and welcoming. The kids absolutely loved the pool – it’s huge and really well-designed. They spent hours splashing around, and we enjoyed chilling by the poolside. For the price, we were really impressed. The hotel has a great mix of luxury and value, and it’s in a prime location. The rooms were spacious and modern, with plenty of room for our whole family. Everything was clean and well-maintained, which made the stay super comfortable. We also loved the room service at the hotel. There’s a lot of variety, so whether we wanted a quick snack or a proper meal, there was something for everyone. Overall, Crown Metropol was a great choice for a family getaway. It felt like a treat without being ridiculously expensive. We’ll definitely be back – highly recommend it for families looking for a fun and relaxing stay!

Rooms were okay but be prepared to wait in line for check in. My card didn't work so had to line up again. Had a query about checkout and room service and they only had 3 employees working, and there was about 30 people in line. You would think being a Saturday and check out time, you would have more.

We stayed at this hotel for our recent trip to Melbourne on Melb Cup long weekend. Check in guy was short and rude. Our room was overlooking a carpark full of graffiti. No USB charging ports in the room. We found one in a lamp however as it wasn't it's primary use, the charging took hours longer than if it had of been a power point outlet. Room was spacious although all the way down a dingy hallway. We were on the 9th floor. The biggest disappointment for us was the hours of the pool. It closes at 7pm. By the time you can check in at 3pm, get to your room, get the kids ready for dinner, it was closed and no time to use it after dinner. It didn't open again until 9am and check out is 11am. We headed down at 9am on the dot and it was PACKED! No spare chairs. You couldn't move in the pool more than a metre without touching someone. It was human soup! Windows were also filthy. Would I stay here again, absolutely not. There are much better hotels nearby at similar rates with a better experience. The only thing this has going for it, is it's undercover walking from the Crown complex.

I was really quite worried after reading all the negative reviews online for Crown Metropol , I almost cancelled my booking , Thank god I didn’t! Let me be clear I am not discounting anyone else’s experience , just stating my own. From the moment we arrived , the staff were so helpful and very attentive. Check in was easy and friendly. We stayed on the 23rd floor with a view over looking the rooftop carpark, but also lovely city backdrop. The room itself was well appointed, clean and had fantastic Lighting in the Bathroom. I can’t thank the reception staff enough for the Champaign and chocolates that were in our room when we arrived home from dinner, very thoughtful. We normally stay at promenade but have already booked Metropol again for our next Melb adventure. Xoxox

Stayed here for five nights having stayed here 5 years ago or thereabouts. Didn’t bother to do our normal review check as we knew it was good from past experience. However we were sorely disappointed. Their address on Google takes you to crown towers. We were the. Directed to walk on the outside in the rain to Metropol. Figured afterwards that could go internally! At check in the lady didn’t seem interested at all with no smile or friendly chatter. Didn’t tell us where anything was or breakfast. Very to the point verging on rude. That wasn’t the end of it. The room was disgusting! Bathroom was full of mildew and carpets sticky and dirty. We had to buy exit mould to clean up as couldn’t see ourselves showering in there. House cleaning was always late or sometimes didn’t turn up. Would restock everything half the time. Then we read reviews and the very same story all over. Be warned!
