Reviews for Park Hyatt Melbourne

Quietly, smoothly, efficient

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

Once I had made contact directly with the hotel, I sensed the property functioned with a quiet professionalism and that I was in safe hands. I was not disappointed. The smoothness of the airport pick up, check in with the delightful lady who hailed from New Zealand was the perfect blend of professionalism and warmth. The room was exactly what I expected and the pool experience set me up for a good nights sleep despite the seven hour time difference. Breakfast was part of that conversation that is clearly going on about buffet/a la carte. I was very lucky the tall quietly spoken lady served me at table and the hot food offering on both days was good. A shout out to the bakery, the Almond Croissant were very much at the upper end of outcomes. Nice pastry and well filled and tasty. The Park Hyatt is perfectly placed for the matters I went for, Melbourne's Cultural and Heritage offerings. A brisk walk and you can spend hours at the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Museum. In the evenings I had a light supper at the Tea House. The food was robust honest fare. it's not Michelin Star level but it has personality and the ingredients are well sourced. Its not quick and i sensed the staff were splitting their time across two eating locations. My departure was well handled and the airport transfer again the epitome of understated efficiency. The Park Hyatt offers a safe pair of hands, the staff are client centred and the food is good if the environment is not as exciting and as exclusive as one might want. Next year definitely be back.

Excellent suite with upgrade - luxurious bathrooms & spacious room. Delicious breakfast served. King bed was so lovely to sleep on. Location - excellent - on fringe f city & accessible to all other parts of town. Great to also have the bar to have drinks in.

I Forgot how great this hotel is

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

What a great hotel the rooms were beautiful and lovely old world charm and generous. The location was the best next to the park and close enough to the city and far enough to be enjoyable. A truly enjoyable experience and the staff were friendly and caring

A hidden gem!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

What an absolute gem. Lived in Melbourne for several years and knew nothing about this hotel. Great CBD location and yet so quiet. A stylish entrance and friendly staff on arrival. I did feel a bit sorry for Mr Walker though (the hotel dog). I will definitely stay again!

A top class experience from the minute I arrived to when I left 3 days later. Great staff with a great appreciation of my needs and wants. The view from the tennis court is spectacular. The food in both the café and restaurant are excellent. The beautiful Labrador at the front door is so friendly calm and just cool! A really nice touch.
