Park Hyatt Melbourne is a class act. High recommended for your stay in Melbourne. Centrally located to excellent restaurants like Di Stasio Citta and city shopping on Collins Street. Gym facilities are excellent. Breakfast dining is also excellent. The Concierge are world class. Enjoy

The PH is located pretty close to the CBD - there’s a decent amount of transit nearby, and it’s a quick transfer from the SkyBus to a tram and a kind of awkward but doable walk from there. The hotel definitely expects you to pull up being driven, since the front built as a Porte cochere - there is another entrance on the side but you’d need a room key to get in. The base room is more than spacious. I got upgraded to what I assume was just a better view, but the highlights were as highlights were as pictured for the base room: a massive bathtub, large windows, and a walk through closet area. I also loved the night light in the bathroom - it added a great touch. You get the typical amenities, with Le Labo providing soap bars, lotion, and the bottled shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. They smell great. There’s also mouthwash and the typical luxury boxed Hyatt level amenity (dental, sewing, sanitary, etc) kits to take as needed. There’s a kettle and coffee machine, and a nice selection of drink options. I loved the non-caffeinated options especially - I did indulge in peppermint and lemon teas along with the drinking chocolate so props to whoever decided to put that there. There’s also a school lunch sized carton in the minibar fridge that is free for your use with presumably the other teas or possibly the Nespresso coffees. That, the tea, coffee and drinking chocolate, and two (plastic! Not the glass) water bottles were replenished twice daily. The service was excellent. Everyone I spoke to was super helpful and polite - so management if you are reading give your team props. They deserve it. My biggest thorn with this property is that the hotel is showing its age. This is my first stay at a Park Hyatt, so I’m not sure if some of this is the brand being a little aged or this property needing some revamping. Example: the in room dining got the website didn’t work - the kitchen never reviewed my order even though I got a confirmation - I learned to just call the front desk. And it will be the front desk every time - they seem to be the only people manning the phones despite the amount of buttons & departments the dial pad implies. I did want to eat breakfast at Radii one morning but it closed at 10am and I had showed up at 10:01. From what I can tell the in room dining breakfast is the same as that food so I didn’t miss anything. There’s a TV in the bathtub - cool! It shows local channels only. Which fine, but it’s the same party trick I’ve seen hotels in Vegas. And that isn’t a compliment. The actual in room TV does have casting, but it’s through the Hyatt app, so I assume it was partially out of the property’s hands for what that’s worth. The dining options being limited is also odd - not that you’re deprived of options in Melbourne - but none of the food was thaaat good? I loved the avocado toast but it was really because I was pleasantly surprised it was a breakfast bowl. And with the only option really being Radii unless you want bar food, I kinda don’t know why you would do a trying but breakfast here. That’s probably not something management wants to hear. For transparency, I booked this thru Amex’s FHR program.

An elegant and luxurious hotel with Art Deco decor conveniently located on the edge of Fitzroy Gardens, East Melbourne, the CBD and the Sporting Precinct. Handy to the CBD for business, dining, shopping and shows, with City Circle Trams and public transport nearby. Park Hyatt Melbourne is a luxury experience for international visitors, business functions or locals on a Melbourne 'staycation' - Art Deco glamour and luxury for the perfect getaway.

What premium hotel asks their guests to dine in the lobby rather than their restaurant ? What a joke. The lobby is a lobby that is not deserving of restaurant prices. Here’s an idea ! Why not use your restaurant for dinner like you do for breakfast ! Given the location of the hotel, you are not spoilt for choice with restaurants in the area, so it’s reasonable for your guests to expect a good dining experience at the hotel #fail.

We recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Melbourne for one week as part of our vacation plans. Out stay was exceptional starting with a Deluxe King room on the 18th floor. Housekeeping did an outstanding job providing fresh towels twice a day, plus turn down service at night. The concierge folks were very helpful in recommending restaurants for nightly dinner and making the reservation for us. They also help with directions and how to best use the terrific tram service provided by Melbourne. The location of the hotel in perfect located in the CBD area of Melbourne making your sightseeing very easy and convenient. We can highly recommend staying at this hotel on your next visit to Melbourne.
