Central hotel excellent for our first time in Memphis The rooms were clean and tidy The roof top terraces is a must.. my only concern was the prices on the cocktail menu doesn’t match anything near what you pay!! 2 drinks on the menu which states gratuity included prices at $9 each ended up costing $26 I gave her $30 and didn’t get any change …I’m not sure how it worked out at that?…. and the fact she put half the money down her top maybe answered my question The same drink the following night with a different bar man cost $20!

Well located for visiting Memphis about 10 minutes walk from Beale Street and just a block away from the Mississippi. Covered parking across the road arranged by the Hotel. Rooms were comfortable. Rooftop bar is an excellent location to watch the sun go down and enjoy a cocktail. Hopefully, the Lady who served us has found a job that she enjoys by the time you go.

Unable to get into my room almost 4 hours after booking time started waited in lobby watched as many people passed us for their rooms yet we was set to stand for most our trip after a 6 hour drive getting to this location this is beyond unacceptable

This is a decent hotel, but it is in need of some renovation. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. We were upgraded to a suite, which was a very nice surprise. Bed was extremely high and might be difficult for some to get into. The room was tired - some carpet stains, patched tiles, etc. Towels were thin and worn, but they were clean. Housekeeping service is only on request and they didn't come one of the days we requested. On another day, they came and cleaned the room but left us no towels. Staff at the front desk did remedy that immediately. Only one trash bin in the whole suite! Had to move it around.

Room was clean on arrival but the bed was so high it would be hard for anyone short to get on without throwing yourself on it. Air con was very loud so switched off by us. Unusual to find no coffee station in the room or water. Free coffee is available in the reception area, but not really ideal. We did attempt breakfast one morning, but had to cancel as hot food wasn’t being replenished. Ideal location for Beale street with it being a short walk away. Toiletries provided are not enough for two guests. Staff were super friendly.

We really could have not been more pleased by the people that work for the Madison (as a real team) the facilities, the food, the ambience, etc. If all of Memphis businesses had your corporate attitude, top to bottom towards its customers Memphis would be "ON FIRE"!!!! We will definitely be back again, soon!

This is my favorite hotel ever. A perfect combination of understated elegance, perfect cleanliness, beautiful appointments and warm, friendly, helpful staff. Thanks for a nice but short stay!

The Madison is the benchmark for all other hotels we stay at in other cities. It is an excellent hotel and we stay there each time we're in Memphis.
