About the Hotel
The Peabody Memphis is as well known for stupendous service and luxury living as it is for its marching ducks. The 13-story hotel and Memphis landmark opened in 1869 and has been a place of privilege ever since. The Peabody hotel is the Grand Hotel of the south. Beautiful lobby and the daily duck march is worth the visit.

Faded Grandeur
I was here 20 years ago and it looks like not much has been done to the place. It’s sad to see - the carpets in the corridors to the bedrooms are never clean, the fittings in the bathroom are falling off and service from the front desk is inconsistent.
