Cavas Wine Lodge

We were immediately impressed by the high level of hospitality the moment we crossed the threshold and were greeted with their delicious rose wine. Every encounter with the staff from the receptionist, sommelier, concierge, wait staff, porter, housekeeper was warm and welcoming. The property is gorgeous and sensitively situated in a remarkable and breathtaking landscape. Our private accommodation was gorgeous with an unsurpassed view of the surrounding vineyards and Andes. Cocktails and a charcuterie buffet on our rooftop terrace in the glowing light of our own fireplace was so beautiful it haunts our memory. The manager Veronica Marquina and her staff have perfected the art of gracious hospitality. This was our favorite Relais Chateau property by far. We spent three wonderful nights in this remarkable hotel and it will be the means by which we judge all others.

Cavas Wine Lodge is a hidden gem in Mendoza. The setting is gorgeous, the lodge and property are quiet and beautiful, the staff is wonderful and the food and their new chef is absolutely excellent. It is a must stay if you are going to visit Mendoza.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we departed Veronica and her staff made us feel special and welcome. The main building is very charming and warm. They started us off with a great Rose while we waited for our rooms to be prepared. We had lunch on the patio overlooking the vineyard and before dinner we had a bottle of the Rose in the vineyard with some amazing seasoned olives. We went to town for dinner the first night but on the second night we enjoyed their dinner while listening to jazz on their patio. The food was very nice and they have two menus. We used the spa for massages and we walked through their vineyard one morning for some much needed exercise. The casitas have fireplaces on the roof as well as in the room. They are a very nice size with espresso machines, a sitting are, large bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Our over looked the vineyard and on our private patio was a plunge pool and an outdoor shower. If you are looking for a romantic place in to Stay in the Mendoza area this is the one. It’s a 10/10

Cavas Wine Lodge is undeniably situated in one of the most beautiful locations imaginable, surrounded by stunning vineyards with breathtaking views of the Andes. The setting alone makes it a special destination. The highlights of our stay included a fantastic private wine tasting session with a knowledgeable and personable French sommelier. It was both educational and enjoyable—definitely a must-do if you visit. Another standout was the tango night, where we had the chance to mingle with other guests in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. These experiences added a unique and unforgettable touch to our trip. The staff went out of their way to make my birthday celebration special, which I deeply appreciated. Their thoughtful attention truly added to the warmth and charm of our stay. The rooms are spacious and come with charming features like a rooftop terrace. However, they felt somewhat dated, with small maintenance issues like windows that didn’t close properly. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options, but the service was inconsistent and sometimes disorganized, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant start to the day. Unfortunately, the hike we booked through the hotel was a letdown. It was organized with a third party, and for the high price, the experience felt underwhelming and lacked the quality we expected. Overall, Cavas Wine Lodge offers a beautiful location, thoughtful service, and some truly memorable experiences, but there’s room for improvement in the upkeep of the rooms, service consistency, and the value of certain activities.

I would like to express my fullest pleasure after being in this resort! It is a combination of nature, wine, gastronomy & privacy that you are looking for when you are overwhelmed & need a romantic getaway. I tasted food, drinks & enjoyed relaxing spa & massage experience. The staff showed smiles, warmth & the best welcoming manners. My massageur Ana was very calm, polite & her relaxing massage was such a delight & full recharge after a busy year! Thanks to the whole team of the hotel, I strongly advise it for a dinner in the vineyards or just enjoying a pool in your room with a sunset & the best Argentinian wine! Best regards!
