Andaz Mexico City Condesa

Due to flight delays, we arrived in the early hours of the morning, and there was no evidence signage directing us to where reception should be, but we happened upon it through exploration of the downstairs lobby, and then taking the escalator up to the area, where we discovered the reception. The room was unexceptional, somewhat cramped, and there was no available seating for relaxing your compelled to get out of bed and get out of the room. The bet itself was uncomfortable, and the pillows were insufficient in firmness or density. The phone in the room didn't work and as a hyatt card holder was not offered or provided any of the standard premium perks. The room was, however, clean, and the staff were genuinely friendly, courteous and hospitable. The location, however, was opportune easily accessible to eateries end sceneries and also conveniently located for easy Uber pick ups.

My wife and I had a fantastic time staying that the Andaz Mexico City Condesa immediately following our wedding. Prior to our arrival, Thalia & her staff were super responsive in preparing for our visit, and made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived at check-in, where we were greeted like special guests by Morgan, Marianna, & Ever. We had a wonderful stay, and in particular LOVED starting our days with breakfast at Portico, the highlight of which was Manuel's out of this world latte's. The location is prime for exploring both Condesa & Roma neighborhoods, with easy access to the city and a high sense of security & comfort. Although the pool is small, its position on the rooftop and the views (not to mention great drinks from the bar) are another standout feature of the establishment.

Weird layout and very compartmentalized. No true lobby area. It sucks not to have status because we were given a terrible room directly next to the elevator (#417). We went downstairs to get another room and they said they didn't have anything else. When we told them we were a guest of honor, then they moved us one room over to #416, We are titanium elite members with Bonvoy and Diamond members with IHG so it was difficult not having any status with Hyatt. The positives... Nice and professional staff. The breakfast was excellent with lots of great Mexican food and eggs made to order. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. Housekeeping was excellent.

This hotel is in a great area, very walkable with lots of restaurants close by. The hotel rooms are not very large but are contemporary and comfortable. Customer service is excellent from staff . The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that there is no top sheet on the bed. So there is nothing between your body and the comforter which of course they don’t change the comforter after each guest. So that’s just gross. But I have found that a lot of upscale hotels outside the U.S. don’t use top sheets so it is what it is. I would still stay here again in the future.

We stayed two nights for the wedding of my friend's daughter and we enjoyed every moment. Front staff was very helpful and spoke good English, otherwise in city no one speaks english as spanish is the main language.
