Poor room conditions; room showing its age and not modern like the rest of the hotel. Broken lamp that, when working (you had to hold the plug to the wall), the light was WAY too bright. It was the only light that could light up the room, super frustrating. The only good part of this hotel is the cafe (coffee is not great but good ambiance) + the fully equipped gym.

I stayed at the Andaz Mexico City Condesa for my 40th birthday trip and wanted to share my experience in case it’s helpful to others. The location is genuinely great — super walkable, lots of places nearby, and the coffee shop in the hotel is excellent. That said, I had a pretty tough time actually sleeping. The street noise was extremely loud at night (much louder than I expected), and even with earplugs it was hard to get any rest. The bigger concern for me was that a few personal items went missing from my room — a cosmetic item, my melatonin and magnesium supplements, and one of the hotel robes. Once I noticed that, I kept the “Do Not Disturb” sign on for the rest of my stay because I didn’t want to risk anything else disappearing, which meant my room didn’t get cleaned for a couple of days. I did let the concierge know and emailed management, but I never heard anything back. For a hotel at this price point, I expected at least some kind of follow-up. Breakfast was also just okay — not terrible, but not what I’ve come to expect from other Andaz properties. Overall, great location and good coffee, but between the noise, the missing items, and the lack of response from management, my stay ended up being more stressful than relaxing.

Absolutely worst andaz stay. Would not recommend. Showers flooding, towels smell like feet, room floor smelled like sewage, and tried to “upgrade” a couple to a two single bed room.

We were there for Thanksgiving week and were disappointed. It's really a 4 star, not a 5 star, not very luxurious.Small lobby. Seems like the hotel and the Mondrian share the same building, almost as an afterthought. Small rooms with uncomfortable pillows. Housekeeping service was bad...we had to speak with the manager to get the room vacuumed/swept. Not acceptable. On the plus side, the breakfast buffet was excellent, as was the espresso at the small coffee shop off the check-in. The food in the 17th floor restaurant was excellent but the experience was totally ruined by the outrageously LOUD techno pounding music that made it difficult to speak to your server. The staff was excellent, friendly and cordial, however.

We liked the location and the interior design. Breakfast buffet is fantastic . Cleaning service is not what you expect from a luxury hotel although after 3 attempts to talk at the front desk the manager was notified and the situation was appropriately handled. They can use better quality towels which once were damp after the room was cleaned. The spa is very good so are the staff.
