This hotel was a bit of a disappointment. I don’t necessarily recommend it. If you want to stay right next to the Zócalo and adjacent to downtown, then the location might be compelling. But the hotel itself is not run all that well and the staff is mixed, with some not very dialed into hospitality. Unlike other Marriott affiliated hotels, you cannot message the hotel from the BonVoy app. For that matter, it’s not even easy to find an email address for this hotel. The rooms are of such an extreme minimalist design as to be cold and austere. It’s not inexpensive and greater values can be found elsewhere for hotels of comparable or better quality. I do generally like boutique hotels, but this place left me flat. I won’t stay there again.

The hotel was nicer than I could tell when booking online. It’s hard to understand the unique space and design from photos. Everything was clean and beautiful. We stayed in the Top Suite and it was beyond expectations! I loved the openness, and all three windows/ doors opened fully to enjoy the sounds of the square below. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Absolutely worth every penny to stay in this room. As one other reviewer mentioned, it is “palatial.” Rooftop was a bit crowded in design but they’ve made the most of the space with dining, a pool, cooking area, jacuzzi, sauna and seating with beautiful greenery everywhere. Loved the breakfasts up there. Pool is gorgeous but know that the pool area is small. Only 4 lounge chairs. Even so, we were able to get chairs most of the time we wanted them and other times we lay on towels on the warm brick deck. It’s a small hotel and most people aren’t there to lounge poolside all day (we certainly weren’t). Bike rentals dock is right outside and we enjoyed biking since car traffic can be pretty slow. The service at this hotel was wonderful. I really think the people writing negative reviews must be in general grouchy people or having a bad day because staying at this hotel was a beautiful and special experience.

Right in the heart of central Mexico City, this was a little oasis. Warm and welcoming staff, great breakfasts and we used the sauna and pool every day. We did end up getting a few taxi’s to the neighbourhoods with great restaurants, e.g. Roma Norte and Polanco but there are great restaurants and rooftop bars close by, e.g. Balcon del Zocalo.

Incredible hotel in the downtown area with tons of amenities and a great restaurant. It's quick uber ride to all the great neighborhoods and sites in Mexico City. Can be a bit pricey compared to other hotels but worth it, especially if you're booking on points!

We booked the final 3 nights of our trip and we were very pleased by the hotel and overall experience. I had requested an upgrade and at first, they were hesitant but ended up with a corner suite with a nice balcony (basically the front of the hotel). It was hard to find the hotel and the uber dropped us off near by but not in front of the hotel. This seemed to be common as it is hard for the cars to get in front of the hotel and turn around. When you first enter, you see a restaurant and shops. The front desk is actually tucked away in the back near the elevator. All the doors face the middle open courtyard. Most of the rooms actually don't have a window facing outside, just into the courtyard, which does make it a bit dark. But with our suite, we got lots of sunlight and fresh air with the balcony. The architecture and decor is very unique, minimalistic. We liked it. The suite had strange "courtyard" which was open to the suites above. Past glass wall and door was our bathroom with a shower and a toilet in a separate room. Closet, safe and that was about it. The bedroom was amazing, open, airy with a floating bed in the middle facing high windows and vaulted ceilings. Breakfast was included for us on the roof top, in small glassed in rooms. Very good breakfast, but if you want a latte or cappuccino, it's an extra charge. There is a bar and a pool on the roof top as well, which we made good use. There were several little quirks like drinking water. They had glass carafe that you had to call room service to come and get, fill and return. There was no plastic used in the hotel and everything was thought out very precisely. This hotel is not going to work for everyone, depending on what you like, but we really enjoyed our stay.
