Right in the heart of central Mexico City, this was a little oasis. Warm and welcoming staff, great breakfasts and we used the sauna and pool every day. We did end up getting a few taxi’s to the neighbourhoods with great restaurants, e.g. Roma Norte and Polanco but there are great restaurants and rooftop bars close by, e.g. Balcon del Zocalo.

Incredible hotel in the downtown area with tons of amenities and a great restaurant. It's quick uber ride to all the great neighborhoods and sites in Mexico City. Can be a bit pricey compared to other hotels but worth it, especially if you're booking on points!

We booked the final 3 nights of our trip and we were very pleased by the hotel and overall experience. I had requested an upgrade and at first, they were hesitant but ended up with a corner suite with a nice balcony (basically the front of the hotel). It was hard to find the hotel and the uber dropped us off near by but not in front of the hotel. This seemed to be common as it is hard for the cars to get in front of the hotel and turn around. When you first enter, you see a restaurant and shops. The front desk is actually tucked away in the back near the elevator. All the doors face the middle open courtyard. Most of the rooms actually don't have a window facing outside, just into the courtyard, which does make it a bit dark. But with our suite, we got lots of sunlight and fresh air with the balcony. The architecture and decor is very unique, minimalistic. We liked it. The suite had strange "courtyard" which was open to the suites above. Past glass wall and door was our bathroom with a shower and a toilet in a separate room. Closet, safe and that was about it. The bedroom was amazing, open, airy with a floating bed in the middle facing high windows and vaulted ceilings. Breakfast was included for us on the roof top, in small glassed in rooms. Very good breakfast, but if you want a latte or cappuccino, it's an extra charge. There is a bar and a pool on the roof top as well, which we made good use. There were several little quirks like drinking water. They had glass carafe that you had to call room service to come and get, fill and return. There was no plastic used in the hotel and everything was thought out very precisely. This hotel is not going to work for everyone, depending on what you like, but we really enjoyed our stay.

Strange place to review. Great location just by the cathedral. Lovely roof-top bar. But the rooms all face in over a restaurant/shopping area which is noisy during the day. No natural light. Rooms are very imaginative - bed very comfortable. We had room x01 which was plagued by rooftop central air-con hum all day and night so beware that. Clearly a very fashionable and well-located place. You decide if it's good value for the high cost.

We worked for months with the hotel to plan a wedding-related welcome cocktail party. During the planning period, our hotel representative separated from employment (we do not know the reason) and failed to hand-off our event. We finally made contact with a new event representative after an extended period of trying. She was not aware of the promises made by the prior staff person and many details of the event had to be re-planned. Two weeks before the event, the representative wrote to us and "offered" to move our event to another, related hotel (or to another date entirely, which made no sense at all). She realized that a protest was scheduled for the date of our event and said that the surrounding area would be too congested and "a little dangerous." When we learned that the protest happens on the same date annually, we registered our disappointment--why would the hotel book our event on that date, accepted our deposit, and tell us only two weeks before that our event could not happen as scheduled? After this, the representative told us that we misunderstood--that we could in fact have our event as planned, even though she had previously told us that the area would be "a little dangerous." We ultimately did the only thing we thought was reasonable and moved the event to the related hotel in Condesa. No concession was offered for the problems we had with our planning, and the hotel representative made it seem as if she was doing us a favor in moving our event. We gave the hotel several chances to make things right with us, and our wedding planner got involved and did the same. After the event, we gave specific, detailed feedback and were told only that the hotel would closely consider it. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel for any event-related purpose.
