Reviews for Hilton Mexico City Reforma

Ideal location with an amazing team of dedicated employees

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

From the moment you walk into this centrally located Hilton, you know you are in for a treat. The hotel is immaculate, and every team member is eager to help and make your stay enjoyable. The kind and hard working housekeeping staff are treasures, making sure the room shines every day. Special shout out to Carolina and Erika. Dionisio in the Executive Lounge also went above and beyond making our stay special. Thank you to every member of the team for your hard work and dedication.

Five star stay at Hilton Mexico City Reforma making our holiday something to remember!

We found this hotel to be in the center of everything and certainly "the place" to stay! Very walkable to the museams, park and restaurants. Taxis are super inexpensive and Uber is also a quick way to get around. Hilton is always dependable brand, but Hilton Mexico City is extra special. Thank you very much to the team at Hilton Reforma! We loved our stay in your beautiful hotel. The service was outstanding as was the food, location... and my suite were just gorgeous. Sincerely. We loved it! Starting with SANDRA at the front desk when we checked in. Sandra was friendly. Professional, informative and very nice. Check in was a breeze. Manager CEM Kutlu couldn’t have been friendlier or more professional. He was extremely helpful and addressed my questions promptly. Mr. Kutlu provided me with his direct Hilton e-mail address in case I had any questions during my stay. Servers Ulises and Grecia!!! WOW. So attentive. Thank you so very much GRECIA for going over and above with the kind amazing service and smile! You really brightened up our mornings. (Thank you for seeking out my friend who left his favorite sweatshirt behind in the executive lounge). ULISES, attention to detail is superb! Ulises seemingly glides on air through the lounge making eyes contact with the guests and “reads” each table anticipating what we (and all guests) needed next. His service is exceptional! He is not only amazing, but also calm, composed, quick and works very hard to make this property shine. Great job - thank you!. This is a man who likes his job, and it shows. YADIRA in housekeeping kept my room beautifully and spotless everyday. Your attention to detail is superb and I did not feel as I was coming back to a hotel room at all, but a home away from home! Thank you all for making our first stay in Mexico City something to remember!

This place needs some TLC

I upgraded to an executive Alameda view room on the 25th floor. It was in very poor condition certainly not worth the price I paid for it. All kinds of strange noises throughout the day and night as well. Walls are paper thin, there was a TV blasting next-door. You can hear people outside the room in the hallway as well.

Love the hotel but not as walkable as I hoped

Although slightly dated, the Hilton Reforma is a great hotel. The lobby is beautiful, and we really enjoyed dining at the two restaurants located on that level (an outpost of El Cardenal and a Mexican steakhouse). The rooms are very comfortable and the views from the rooms on the higher floors are spectacular. If you get a club level room it gives you access to the club lounge on the 26th floor, so no worries if you're on a lower level, access to the club and the view from there is available 24h. Speaking of the club level, it has a really nice breakfast - build your own chilaquiles, yum! Bacon, sausage, pancakes and all the normal continental breakfast options are available as well, and they also offer omelets made to order. I have to give a special shout-out to the club staff as well! They were very welcoming and always helpful. This location can't be beat for proximity to some of Mexico City's "must visit" places including: The National Palace The Metropolitan Cathedral The Tiffany glass ceiling at the Gran Hotel of Mexico City Balcon del Zocalo restaurant (for the views as well as the food!) The Great Temple Museum Alameda Park (the oldest municipal park in the city) The Museum of Populate Art and others...... BUT be aware that the area can be challenging for walkers despite the 100 "Great for walkers" score on Tripadvisor. The sidewalks are crowded, not only with pedestrians in a hurry, but vendors selling items on folding tables or blankets, buskers, folks soliciting for political candidates or those supporting one cause or another (legalizing weed was a big one - no judgment at all!). The other issue was the state of the sidewalks with the cracked, sunken and missing pavers, we spent our time walking staring down at our feet to make sure we didn't trip and fall, instead of viewing the city. The result was that it generally took us double the amount of time that google maps said it would take us to walk to our destinations. I realize that this review is for the hotel and not the sidewalks so: Would I stay there again? Yes, I would!

Great experience

Hilton Mexico City Reforma is a well located hotel, just blocks from the historic center, Chinatown, Mercado de Artesanías La Ciudadela, and more! The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and many spoke English. One of the best parts of the hotel is the El Cardenal restaurant in the lobby. The restaurant is well-known with lines for their breakfast service. I had dinner twice at the restaurant and was amazed at the food and service. (Highly reccommend trying one of their Mole sauce dishes!) Lastly, a shout out to my room cleaning lady. I don't know if this is hotel policy or just an extra nice touch she added, but she would leave post-its with inspirational quotes in my room after a cleaning. It was very cute and something to look forward to! :) (see photos) Thank you Dulce!
