I went to Sofitel Reforma for Business back in June this year. This hotel has the best attention to detail that I have ever seen. The service is outstanding and the people are just fantastic. Kuddos to Juan Carlos from room service, he is an amazing guy and does an amazing job.

We decided to try Sofitel for the first time, for a birthday treat. We've been to Mexico City dozens of times and stayed in all manner of hotels, and Airbnb's. This was definitely one of our favorite hotels, and we will be back. There is a large pull in area to unload suitcases and Ivan greeted us immediately, guiding us to the check in area on a different floor. Very busy place, the parking and the hotel were hopping. He also got us to our room, taking our bags for us and explained everything. He was very friendly and helpful, always with a smile and great attitude. We were greeted as AmEx Fine Hotel and Resorts members, and the perks were honored. We did get a room upgrade to a larger room (that had a huge bathroom with a tub and separate shower, double sinks, and a separate space with a door for the toilet). The room was totally comfortable and spacious, and we were also given a welcome amenity of a sparkling rose, and a birthday treat for my husband as I had mentioned it was his birthday that we were there for. That was a lovely surprise! A $125 credit for the restaurants and breakfast also included. We went on a Sunday and Monday night, I would not do that again. We wanted to go to the Speakeasy and fine restaurant Bajel, but both were closed the entire time we were there! That was unfortunate. We did have a wonderful breakfast at Balta, a nice cocktail at Lobby Bar and ended up making a reservation and eating at Cityzen. That was great, the food was ok, more like tapas than a meal, but the service, views and drinks were fantastic. We did use the sauna and pool, also very nice. Overall, 99% of the service was excellent. Porters, front desk, restaurant, everywhere we went, we were greeted and helped in a fast and friendly manner. I did have a negative experience when I called in that morning to confirm the check in time, and was told "we had cancelled our reservation". I spent nearly 15 minutes on the phone with Hector trying to explain that I had not cancelled it, but simply changed the room I originally booked/chose, and I had gotten a new confirmation number. He totally stressed me out to be honest, and he was wrong. He told me to come in and they would book us a new room. This after I already fully paid over $1000 USD for 2 nights. In the end, he did locate the reservation and realized whatever mistake he made, but for the amount of time I spent on the phone with him, and how much this upset me, I would have expected some kind of apology. In any case, given that the rest of our stay was flawless, I won't deduct anything from my rating for this oversight. We'd go back to this hotel without hesitation, and hopefully stay longer next time!

This is my second time staying at this property and I must say, I couldn’t ask for anything else. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home! Special thanks to Diego at Front Desk, Pedro who is the kindest and most proactive bellman I have ever encountered during my travels, David at concierge, and the rest of the Sofitel team. The food and beverage offerings are truly memorable! Plus I was greeted with a wonderful upgrade thanks to my American Express membership and was surprised with a welcome ammenity from the hotel. Whether you’re traveling for business, with your family or friends - I sincerely recommend staying at this property.

This property is in my top ten hotels I've ever stayed in. We had such a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and modern, and perfectly situated on Paseo de la Reforma. We found it easy to walk most places we went, and Ubers are readily available for places further afield. We generally went for dinner at restaurants in Roma, most of which were within a 20-30 minute walk. We felt very safe walking around the area at night. We booked through the Fine Hotels program at American Express. As part of that program, we were upgraded from a standard room to a luxury room on check-in. It did not disappoint. The room was large, with a beautiful bathroom, separate toilet room, sweeping views of the city and mountains, and notably very high ceilings. We were on the back side of the hotel facing away from the Paseo, so it was exceptionally quiet throughout our weeklong stay, which I appreciate very much. We took breakfast daily in Baltra as part of Fine Hotels, and the food was excellent. Buffet options were standard fare, and food off the menu was delicious. We once went to Cityzen on the 38th floor and had a drink on the terrace. What an incredible view of sprawling Mexico City at night, though not for the faint of heart sitting next to the edge of the building 38 storeys high! Reservations are required; book in advance if possible (we had no trouble on a Saturday night at 9 getting a reservation on the spot, but the following Friday at 9pm they were full until 11pm). My favourite aspect of this property though, is the staff. Everyone is so warm and friendly, greeting you with a smile and going out of their way to ensure you're comfortable and happy. We found this throughout Mexico City, but the staff at the Sofitel really went above and beyond. Special thanks to Claudia at the front desk, and all of the staff at Baltra. I can't say anything constructive about this property - it was perfect for us!

Great confortable room overlooking the angel, the service is amazing... they go out of their way to accommodate your every need, Pedrito was the best, always giving a 200% and the breakfast is to die for. I would only suggest they up their chai game both in the restaurant and even more so on the coffee shop on the first floor.

My husband and I had most wonderful stay at the Sofitel! We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday and this stay was exactly what I wanted! They had most delicious cake waiting for us on our anniversary day and the staff at the restaurant brought a cake with special candle at breakfast. Everyone from the concierge team, front desk and the dining staff were wonderful!
