Sofitel Mexico City Reforma

The bed, bedding and rain shower is exactly how I would have dreamed. Not to mention the superb service of the whole team at Sofitel. I’ve stayed in many high end hotels in Polanco and Reforma neighbor but this one is by far the best so far. Another favorite is the Sofitel Cafe on the first floor facing the street level. Andy was so nice and everything she recommended was so good!

This was our third time to Mexico City and the Sofitel. We arrived later in the evening and I was bold enough to ask if there was an upgrade available due to my Gold Accor loyalty status and we were in fact upgraded from a superior room city view to what I can only guess was a luxury room with skyline view as it was huge, on the 32nd floor with a deep soaking tub. We had some snacks and a bottle of wine in the lobby bar on arrival which was good, albeit expensive. The 38th floor gym and pool are both great but small and busy since I think the hotel was pretty full. Staff were friendly and responsive when we requested slippers (finding out on our last night that slippers were on the top shelf of the closet) and repair of our Nespresso machine. Though the latter didn’t get fully remedied. Hubby had cold coffee at 4 am on day of departure. For Accor loyalty members: your welcome drink is only honored at the lobby bar and not Cityzen. And the lobby bar is closed on certain days. We didn’t get a chance to use ours until Sunday when of course the lobby bar was closed. After some discussion the hostess at Cityzen let us use it at their bar. This is really my only gripe with the hotel. I understand they want whir rooftop bar to be a happening place but I feel hotel guests should get preference. One other note- make sure to check your folio before departing. We left very early (4:30 am) and I didn’t heck the bill and think they charged our airport transportation to the room even though I paid in cash with the drivers. All that said, I would return once again and would highly recommend and have done so.

Amazing hotel, great location and the most wonderful staff. Have been to the Sofitel Reforma 3 times with access to the Executive lounge Club Milliseme. Natalia, Sofia and the their team are amazing. They make you feel like part of the family.

Beautiful space on the Avenida Reforma - especially great if you are there on a Sunday and Reforma turns into a biking or pedestrian street only. It’s not really a touristy place but walkable to those neighborhoods. I was out and about so I didn’t get to enjoy the amenities. My annoyance is that even though they asked if I wanted a morning check in when I arrived in the morning they wanted to charge me for a full extra day to check in the morning. So I just left my bag and went exploring. Also, it is really expensive for CDMX - I think a smaller place in a neighborhood closer to restaurants would be better.

This was a great hotel in an ideal neighborhood. Everybody was extremely helpful. We loved the speakeasy and the rooftop bar. The concierge took great care of us - I wish I could remember his name but there was one guy with glasses who was really helpful! David was also great. Always making sure we had everything we need.
