There are some things that only South Beach can have. The Betsy - South Beach is one of them. This boutique hotel in Miami Beach lives up to its exclusive Ocean Drive address with 61 gorgeous rooms and suites. Heralded in the media - from Marie Claire to Condé Nast - The Betsy is a historic building that to this day maintains its original Georgian design amidst Art Deco surroundings. Beach-inspired and brilliant, the sophisticated interiors feature wooden shutters, chandeliers, and terrazzo flooring, all accented by relics from far-away lands. Your room, with its white lacquered furniture and hardwood floors, offers an ambiance created for relaxation. Modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers are a highlight of your haven, while in-room libraries, original artwork, and contemporary electronic connections provoke pleasant thought. Grab a beverage from your mini bar, pull the curtains, and let the South Florida sunshine - and the charm of The Betsy - wash over you.

We were staying in Miami for a long weekend birthday event with friends. We were originally booked at another hotel but after reading reviews changed our reservation to the Betsy. When we arrived the staff were very friendly. We received a glass of Prosecco on arrival. There is a restaurant and bar as well as live piano entertainment. This is a family owned establishment. We met the lovely owner, his dog, and the owner’s mother. Once we arrived in our room we were unfortunately very underwhelmed. Room 425 (I think it was?) was an accessible room. The room is open to the courtyard on one side and a street on the other side so there was a lot of noise at times. The room just needed some TLC with worn furniture and scratched floors, rust, dust, and inaccessible safe in the closet, an ironing board that really should be thrown away as it’s past its used by date. And for such a quality establishment please change to a quality toilet paper! I state these specifications as the hotel is so lovely that this room is not up to its standards. The next day we spoke to the manager whose name I sadly cannot recall but he was from Harrogate. He sat and listened to our concerns. He then introduced us to the concierge whose name is Paul. They immediately put our minds at ease and let us see another room and arranged for all our things to be moved. Room 324 was a beautiful king suite which met all the expectations of the reputation of the Betsy. We are extremely grateful for the patience and understanding of the staff. Paul even gave us a tour of the fine amenities which includes library, gym, art gallery. We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant. Absolutely delicious bacon, eggs, potatoes, toast, salad, fresh juice. Very good quality! Special thanks also to Sheila the waitress and Juan the bellhop. We would definitely recommend the Betsy and return for another visit. Thank you for making our stay so special.

A cool, calm and elegant terrace just back from the beach, behind the palm trees. Quality coffee, good local beer and perfectly-pitched personable and professional service from Joanny. Just the way to unwind after a packed 72-hour business trip

My cousin and I went to Miami for the weekend before the winter break. We had a great time over all. Even experienced a Winter Concert in front of The Betsy Hotel. When the concert was over we decided to go into the hotel bar for an espresso martini. We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged, I mean zero eye contact. We waited patiently because we have both worked in hospitality industry so we get it. But, after a few more minutes it felt intentional. A few servers/bartenders were gathered by the register chatting and eating while we waited. Finally, I gave up and waved someone down, that's when Jorge finally came over with an attitude like I had ruin his night. We asked for 2 espresso martinis and he when over to 2 other women and started chatting them up. I literally learned everything about them since they spoke forever. Eventually we got our drinks, we drank them and just wanted to leave. I asked for the check and Jorge placed it a seat away from me. I took it and provided my card and again he placed the receipt further from me, where I had to stretch to get it. It was so odd, I had never met such a rude person. Literally lacking manners. I review is based of my experience with Jorge. The bill was about $70 because he also added himself a 25% tip which is ridiculous. Besides that the ambience/live music was nice. Hope Jorge is providing better customers service now and not disappointing your guests

Just stopped in for a drink while it was raining outside in South Beach. It was a warm and pleasant vibe and I got a beer while the family got some tea. 20% surcharge tacked onto the bill, but overall it was a good respite from the rain. Hotel looked nice from what we could see!

The hotel stands as a beacon of boutique hospitality, offering an intimate oasis of sophistication. Filled with art and featuring daily live music, it exudes charm and elegance on a delightful, small scale. Attention to detail creates an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and effortlessly refined. The concierge service is a very cool touch. In house Art Deco tour was fascinating.
