The Betsy - South Beach

The hotel is in a great location, very nice lobby with live music, and restaurant is excellent. HOWEVER: It is impossible to sleep in this hotel. In the first 5 nights we were in a room on the second floor. Right above our room there were at least one, if not two dogs running/pacing most of the night. The ceiling is ridiculously thin, and you can hear the noise/every step very well. For our last four nights we were supposedly upgraded to the first floor, to a very nice room, with seating area. HOWEVER: We were not told that literally across from our room is the engineering room, with people banging the door, getting in and out of this room the entire night. In sum: great location, very nice atmosphere in the lobby, superb food, but 9 sleepless nights (so far we had seven out of our nine nights).

Great stay at a solid and chic hotel on Miami Beach. We were greeted by friendly and efficient doormen. Check-in was efficient and accompanied my glasses of Prosecco. Lots of European guests, which I love. Our rooms were on the small side but well-appointed. Bathrooms are tiny but clean and modern. Because one of our three rooms was distinctly moldy-smelling, we received another room without a fuss. My fav area is the lobby. Good people watching. Great piano players. Efficient staff. Breakfast is very good. The pool on the roof is not too small. Though beware the clickbait pics. This is not a huge area but is a nice place to spend part of the day. The beach is after all right across the avenue. The rooftop bar is run by happy seasoned bartenders including Gustavo who gave us great advice and friendly professional service.

It started badly, no heating in the room, only a shower and mixed reservations by the concierge However things improved after a day and really started to enjoy the Betsy Loved the location and the bar area with live music. Visited local restaurants which were superb Loved Miami Beach area and would come back to the Betsy again (although probably go for a better room)

I had a wonderful experience at The Betsy Hotel during my short stay. Fritz from valet parking provided exceptional service, even though I wasn’t able to withdraw cash for a tip. His professionalism and kindness stood out. Additionally, the Brazilian bartender at the rooftop pool was fantastic—offering service with a genuine smile and being especially attentive to my daughter. It made our time by the pool truly enjoyable. Despite checking in very late after a long flight, the welcoming and efficient service at reception was remarkable. The overall service level was truly amazing. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!

Charolette is an exceptional barista who truly elevates the coffee experience! Her attention to detail and skill in crafting the perfect cup are unmatched. Every sip of her coffee is rich, smooth, and made with care. She’s not only talented but also warm and welcoming, making every visit a delight. Highly recommend starting your day with one of Charolette’s amazing creations!
