Miami’s mid-century age ushered in stunning Art Deco architecture, eclectic eateries, and a cosmopolitan charm that remains with the city today. At The Confidante Miami Beach, originally opened in the 1940s, you’ll experience sentiments of the past, the mid-century modern design, and an ideal oceanfront Miami Beach escape.

After staying at the Andaz in Scottsdale, I was looking forward to staying in Miami. I booked a few rooms for spring break. Yesterday, I received an email to call Hyatt customer care. After almost 20 minutes on hold, I was told that the hotel will not be open. They gave me alternative choices that were less quality at similar prices. Also, they complained that the availability was less...well, when you cancel 2 weeks before a trip during spring break; of course there will be less availability. They offered 7500 points for a cure (pretty pathetic and insulting). I would not book until you know that it's been open for a month or more. They were awful to deal with and now I need to figure things out.

We booked this hotel for mid-March 2025. They took reservations despite the property being unfinished. We booked far in advance to secure a reasonable price given that it's Spring Break. They canceled our reservation because of construction delays. They tried to put us in accommodation of less value and quality, but for the same price. Now we are scrambling to find alt accommodations, but everything is expensive. Our emails to Hyatt to resolve the issue have gone unanswered and we are out a fair amount of cash for other pre-paid expenses and flights. Really a terrible start and horrendous treatment of their customers.
