On December 28th, 2025, my family and I set out for a much-anticipated Scuba and sightseeing vacation in Key West and Key Largo. We woke up at 4 a.m. to catch our flight, but things quickly went awry. My 18-year-old son suddenly became extremely ill, struggling with uncontrollable nausea, and we had to make an unexpected stop in Miami rather than continuing to Key West. As we navigated through this situation, we learned that my 80-year-old mother, who had been in route to Key West, now had to change her flight to join us in Miami. With no rental cars available at the airport and the only option being a $2,300 rental with front-end damage, I turned to the internet to find a place to stay. I found The Tony Hotel in the Art Deco District of South Beach, an area I know well but my family hadn’t yet explored. We decided to skip the pricey rental and take a $23 Uber to the hotel, figuring we could regroup and figure out our next steps. Let me tell you, I’ve stayed in five-star hotels around the world, some costing over $5,000 a night, but The Tony Hotel exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was special. The hotel, a stunning art deco masterpiece, takes you back in time to an era of elegance and glamour. The amenities were fantastic: a spa, gym, rooftop pool and bar area with cabanas, and a beautifully designed lounge area. The rooms were spacious, with separate living areas, comfortable workspaces, and breathtaking décor. The location was perfect, just half a block from the South Beach strip and surrounded by high-end shopping. But what really makes The Tony Hotel stand out is the incredible service and hospitality. From the very beginning, the staff was warm and empathetic about our situation. Though our room wasn’t ready upon arrival, they immediately directed us to the pool area, where my son could rest and take a hot shower. Meanwhile, my daughter and I were able to recharge by the pool, which had a spectacular view of the Miami Beach volleyball courts and the ocean. The staff’s attention to detail was remarkable. By 3 p.m., they were greeting me by name, and by 5 p.m., they knew the names of my entire family, including my elderly mother. They even provided a wheelchair to assist her, showing how prepared they were for any guest. As the day turned from stressful to enjoyable, we ventured out to South Beach for dinner, taking in the lights, the food, and the art. The vibrant atmosphere of the Art Deco District, along with the excellent shopping and the friendly locals, helped turn what could have been a terrible day into an unforgettable one. The only downside was my son’s illness, but had that not happened, we would never have discovered The Tony Hotel. From now on, I will never stay anywhere else in South Beach. The service, accommodations, and location of this hotel offer unmatched value. It rivals the finest hotels around the world. I’ll be recommending it to my thousands of colleagues and vendors in the mortgage industry, and I’ll definitely be back. If a six-star hotel existed, this would be it. At The Tony Hotel, you’re not just a guest – you’re family. In real estate, I often remind people that a house is just four walls, a roof, and some dirt beneath it. But your home—your real home—is so much more. It’s where your family is, where you feel safe, loved, and taken care of. It’s not about the physical space; it’s about the people and the comfort you find there. For me, the Tony Hotel has become a second home, a place where I feel the same warmth and sense of belonging as I do in my own home, no matter where I am.

I find it hard to believe the recent 4 and 5 circle reviews for this hotel are genuine. We booked as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, for 2 nights in a suite. We would have left immediately following site of the room, but arrived late and had nowhere else to stay. We left the following morning. The furniture in the room was filthy, with all sorts of stains. When we reported this, a man came to the room, looked around, spoke Spanish on his radio and left. We went to reception to ask about a room change. No room change was offered. The manager did not offer even an apology. With no other option, we asked for sheets to cover up the dirty furniture. When we got back to the room, the filthy stools had been removed and blankets placed over the furniture that couldn’t be removed. We pushed a bed towards the wall so one of the kids could not fall out. It appears the floor under the bed had never been cleaned. I thought that at least the bed sheets would be fine. Even those were not in good shape, with rips, which appear to have come from excessive wear and tear. Both of the beds are in the same room of the suite. So with the kids in bed, we sat on the blanket covered furniture, in the hope of looking for alternate accommodation for the next night. The hotel WiFi did not work in the second room. My wife went to the hotel bar to use the Wi-Fi, and in the hope of a much needed drink. She sat at the bar from around 9-9.30pm, no bartender, no drink. When checking out at around 8am the next morning. I asked to speak with a manager and was told he would not be available to until 12pm. We therefore have no option but to seek a refund for the second night through the booking agent There are other issues

The hotel is ideally located just off ocean drive. Lovely decor and all the amenities you need, then some. The staff are the best part of the hotel, all so very helpful and polite, a credit to themselves and the hotel. Special thanks to Melanie, Domingo and Jamie. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in south beach Miami. Oh, the avocado on toast was great for breakfast and the pool snacks were delicious, especially the coconut shrimp.

My wife and I just returned from a stay at The Hotel of South Beach and have vowed to return as soon as possible. The hotel was marvelous and the suite we stayed in was just beautiful. We also ate dinner at Wish on Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary and the food was absolutely delicious. All in all, we absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
