Loews Miami Beach Hotel

This is are second time here. Excellent family hotel, good pool, a lot of activities for kids. Nikola at the pool and Lou at the beach provided excelent service. We enjoyed are family vacation and plan to come back in the future when we are in Miami.

The marketing materials make this hotel look lovely and luxe, but the rooms are small and underwhelming —- more like a budget motel than a resort, even though the resort fees and pricey rates would lead you to believe otherwise. The facilities are so crowded with conference guests and day pass users that it’s almost impossible to get a pool chair, much less get a server to pay attention to you! The location is pretty much the only thing that recommends it. I reached out to management to discuss the maintenance issues and multiple concerns I had after our stay, and they never got back to me. Book at your own risk!

The kids club was a nightmare. Kids almost never went outside, weren’t allowed to the beach. They aren’t allowed to play with many of the toys, often one toy was set out for the group and they had to sit and wait. The kids get in trouble for rules they didn’t know about. My daughter got a time out for sticking up for her brother. The kids in there looked like children of the corn, desperate for their families to retrieve them. Worse, the people who worked there could care less, couldn’t be bothered to talk to you about how the day was going, seemed to hate their jobs and should not have been in charge of children. The website boasts the camp is formulated with the help of a museum. This is laughable. Do not make the mistake of going to this hotel for your children, or for choosing it, like we did, for the kids camp. I get chills when I think about the stories my child has since shared.

Jerry at the beach is excellent. He provided great service. Set us up with a cabana, towels and everything we needed for a great day on the beach. He checked back with us frequently to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Come down to the beach and ask for Jerry!

Jerry Severe, helped us out so much. Gave us the best spot on the beach. Made sure we had everything we needed. Gave us tips on where to go and what to do. Extremely kind and attentive. Was sure to meet all of our needs while being kind. Checked in on us.
