I’ve been staying in Miami Beach hotels for 30 years. You have to be as foolish as I, if you book this 2 star hotel that is pretending to be a cheese ball version of The Delano. The Staff has the 90s nightclub attitude to match. This is a Bonvoy hotel in name only as I’m Titanium for life, and when I asked for a nice room, they had the nerve to ask to up charge me from 300-1200 per day.. What? The hotel was wide open. But I got banished to the infamous 4th floor with a beautiful view of garbage, dead pigeons and a drain pipe. BTW I requested they remove the dead bird 3x on my first day and it took 4 days, The room is an AC/Springhill type with all the walls that slide but with less functionality. Think a Fairfield with less. They put out coffee in the morning that’s cold by 8:30 but they call this complimentary breakfast. Your exorbitant resort fee gives you the right to: Go to the pool or beach. At the pool I was greeted by a dog doing #2 by the diving board thing. At the beach we sat and watched the staff flirt with each other and ignore the guests. More dogs doing their thing btw. Bikes, which are mysteriously always being used , and a creepy underground skating rink. All the water stations are disgustingly dirty with used cups and sunscreen and sand. And they’re usually empty by 2p Spa? Please It’s nothing. A janky steam room and a dirty locker room and wait for it: They want 60.00 a day to use it. Hahaha The food here is so incredibly expensive and mediocre their own concierge will tell u to avoid it. Their signature restaurant was always empty. Matador. Look at reviews on that gem??!! Breakfast is avg for 100.00 mind u. Location. Mid Beach. You’re not close to anything. BTW they don’t rake here. Sea debris everywhere. Sat on hold unanswered for guest services when I needed something. I asked a question about the cold coffee one morning and I was told I should wake up earlier…. My review is not unique. The Bonvoy review site is filled with 1 stars like mine. Just like here on Trip This is my second stay at an “Edition.” Stayed at the Hollywood property and the attitude is the same. They make us feel like we’re intruders at a party we weren’t invited to. I guess Marriott created this brand to make me realize Courtyards were ok. Frequent travelers trust the Travel Snob. If you want 5 star service and accountability, abandon Bonvoy for AMEX Platinum Fine Resorts program.

I’ve stayed at the Edition Hotel Miami Beach a couple of times, and it continues to impress. The service throughout the property is excellent, and the location is unbeatable, with easy access to the beach just steps away. The food is a highlight—delicious options are available both at the marketplace and the restaurant. Whether it’s a quick bite or a full meal, the quality consistently stands out. The cocktails are fantastic too, adding to the overall experience. While I love spending time on the beach, the service there can be a bit spotty. The servers aren’t always as attentive as I’d expect, which is a small drawback in an otherwise stellar stay. Overall, the Edition Hotel Miami Beach remains a top choice for its luxury, dining, and perfect beachfront location.

The Gold Standard of Family Hotel Travel Our recent stay at The Miami Edition was absolutely fantastic, setting the benchmark for all future family trips. This hotel understands what it means to deliver a luxurious yet family-friendly experience, and it exceeded our expectations at every turn. What We Loved: • Ocean View Room: The view was stunning and added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. • The Pool: Warm and inviting, it quickly became a favorite spot for the whole family. • Dining: Every restaurant at the hotel was excellent, offering a variety of high-quality options that made mealtime a highlight. • The Beach: Pristine and beautiful, it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the Florida sun. • Service: The staff were incredibly professional, helpful, and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. • Kids’ Activities: The hotel offers fantastic activities for children, ensuring they were entertained throughout the trip. • Extras: Bowling in the basement and free ice skating were fun and unique experiences we all loved. A Minor Drawback: While I’m a Marriott Platinum member and booked our stay using points, I didn’t feel that Platinum status made much of a difference here. Additionally, since we go to bed early with three kids, we missed the turn-down service most nights. We should have scheduled it, but this was a very minor issue in an otherwise flawless stay.

Room was nice. Service at pool and beach was very good. Easy to get good chairs. (Mind you this was in November not a school holiday). Pool area and restaurant are very pretty. We went as a couple but there was some nice stuff for kids too. Nothing really going on there at night though but super close to other locations where there is nightlife. My only complaint was some usability issues in the room. There was a huge heavy sliding door that either covered the closet or the bathroom entrance so when you can enter bathroom, one cannot access the closet. When one is accessing the closet, you can’t enter or leave bathroom. Pretty stupid. In addition the design of the bathroom sink has so little clearance between faucet and bottom of sink, you can’t wash hands without bumping them against sink and you definitely cannot wash (or fill) a small water bottle. Didn’t ruin the experience, just makes you think, did anyone review the design of this room before making lots of them. I feel this way often at hotels.
