Collins Avenue boutique SLS South Beach tops Miami’s “It List” for its celeb-studded restaurants and nightlife, the two elements that define the SLS brand. José Andres makes his Miami debut with The Bazaar, and acclaimed sushi chef Katsua Uechi brings a second high-profile restaurant to the mix. Cabanas at the beachfront club Hyde Beach are almost as sultry as the rooms – designer Philippe Starck modeled them like a modern-day boudoir of Louis XV’s mistress, with French furniture and mirrored ceilings.

I don't write reviews ever, but this place was such a sht hole that i couldn't help myself. it was pretty terrible. It might have actually been the single worst hotel experience of my life. There's no views (all rooms face various alleys), no clear beach access despite advertisements, and the pools are gross and dirty and messy. The senior front desk staff person was extremely rude when i arrived for check in around 3:15pm on a Sunday, i think she actually cursed at me when i asked if there would be any rooms available before the 4pm guaranteed check in (which is also very late relative to peers). I recall she said “oh jesus” then rolled her eyes at me like I was a mutant for not being aware of 4pm check in, and horrified that I would deign to ask if an alternative room was available 45 minutes early. My room, “Villa 4,” had bleach stains on the carpet, no desk, no outlets around the dining table (which rendered it unusable as a proxy desk), and my room was directly above the pool so there was excruciating club music blasting at all times during the day and into the evening. I suspect that the front desk didn't appreciate that i asked to check in prior to 4pm, and as a result punished me with a room over the speaker system (they should not permit any humans to stay in that room, even if they’re there for the party). It's a dump. stay away.

We arrived very late and the manager at the front desk upgraded our room for a certain price at checkout they said they had no record of the price she quoted us and did not honor what she said, I told them who she was and when she was working but no agreement was made before we departed, The rooms that are not villas are very small with a bathroom that you can't even fit another person in, it's like being in New York and one of those fancy hotels that the bathroom is the size of a postage stamp, we upgraded to the villa which was very beautiful except right outside was all this equipment making tons of noise also the hotel next door is under complete renovation and the noise was crazy at breakfast it sounded like a thousand sledgehammers, I know that they can't control construction but they should have some type of wall or something put up to help with that noise because it is extraordinarily horrible and it's right by the pool too, I would never have stayed there had I known the construction was right there upon us. When we left the management told my travel agent that they knew nothing about the price that was quoted to us so we had to pay the upgrade price which was a bit higher, just did not get a good feel about this hotel and although it is really boutique there are many others to choose from and I felt like they really did not treat us well at the end with our bill it would not have hurt them to give them what we were quoted I didn't realize I had to have it signed and in blood to get it correct or I would have we arrived very very late in the evening due to a plane maintenance issue not under our control, so next time no, will not stay there

The hotel is so much fun! It’s definitely designed as a hotel for friends or couples as opposed to families, but our family had a great time. You would never know that we weren’t the expected clientele, as every staff interaction, from housekeeping to the front desk to servers, was kind and professional and attentive. Our rooms were small but well equipped with terrific showers and comfortable beds- and being on the Collins Avenue side, we experienced no noise whatsoever. We LOVED the pool and found the outdoor eating area lovely and relaxing. Beach service was also great and it felt very decadent to have so many great food options brought right to our seats. The location is great as well, with Lincoln Road an easy walk away. I would say that it’s not a quiet place to stay in that the pool party at the adult pool on weekends is pretty high decibel, but we didn’t mind. I only wish there were a way to tip housekeeping after the fact because due to a miscommunication with my husband, we didn’t leave them anything and I feel badly because they did a great job.

This was my second stay at this location, and the convenience couldn't be better—just steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. I was disappointed to learn that my favorite restaurant inside was no longer there, but thankfully, Katsuya remains, and it’s as delicious as ever. The hotel’s décor is chic and quirky, which I absolutely love. The rooms are extremely comfortable, though I did notice my couch had been replaced with a chair and table. It wasn’t quite the same, but since I was traveling solo, I didn’t really miss it. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely return.

Hello, staff were wonderful especially Kaitlyn (front desk), Jerrol (dining), Fernando (personal Concierge), Richard (manager) and Jared (beach). We appreciated the Herra Accor perks that came with your hotel and the ability to be VIP'ed with our travel advisor. The one thing I wanted to mention, that I wish the hotel would have told me upon check in or over the phone upon booking was that there was going to be construction on the hotel next door happening and construction on the beach for the food and wine festival. I think had I been warned upon arrival this would have made me feel better about it than being surprised. I think transparency with guests up front is essential when going on a beach vacation. I also feel rooms were great but could use a little wear and tear updating and you need more towel hooks for sure! I also feel it would be better if you had to use a room key in the elevator for safety reasons and hoping if you do update that you add a spa! Lastly I could not connect via email with someone in reservations and always had to call. I tried three times. That could have been better from a travel advisor standpoint. I also recommend to guests who want a little more quiet to do a city view than a pool view as the weekend hosts pool parties. I would not recommend this hotel for families. I liked that the pool party was separate from hotel pool. Beach was beautiful, we felt safe, all our needs were met and then some, we had access to bikes and breakfast was delicious. Thank you SLS. We had a blast!

The SLS was great! Superb location, excellent staff, great rooms. We ate at two of the restaurants during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed both. Your luxury link offer made the stay even better!
