Our Italian adventure

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Hotel Review Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the absolutely beautiful decor and the immaculate cleanliness throughout. The room we stayed in was incredibly spacious, and we were pleasantly surprised by a free upgrade from a standard room to an apartment, which included an additional room with a sofa—such a thoughtful gesture! The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we loved the option to choose the pillow softness that suited us best. Customer service was outstanding, with the concierge making us feel like royalty. A particularly lovely touch was the complimentary drinks from the minibar and dried fruits to celebrate a birthday, making the experience feel even more special. However, a couple of things did take us by surprise. The parking fee of €35 per night felt quite steep, and the limited pool opening hours (only from 15:00 to 19:00) meant we couldn’t fully enjoy this facility. Overall, an incredible stay with luxury touches and impeccable service, though a couple of small adjustments could make it absolutely perfect.

Lifts make no sense

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The lifts make NO SENSE. Just try and find the restaurant! Level 5 it says. But you have to make sure you are in the correct lift! Nightmare. The standalone jacuzzi was broken, although the attendant insisted it was ok ‘maximo’ until he then pointed out the pool has an inbuilt jacuzzi. Not pleased at having to pay to use the pool facilities.

Absolutely overpriced and NOT recommendable hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We were in Milan for 3 nights/4 days between Christmas and New Year. Actually quite ok so far. Except for the hotel: the purest disaster! Arrival day: 2 rooms reserved/booked/prepaid 3rd (extra) bed missing. In one of the rooms: non-stop hammer-like noise and smell of vomit from the ventilation. After questions> room change. Instead of enjoying the sunny afternoon and exploring the city, we waited in a room from 2 - 5 p.m. Because we were constantly told “Someone will be here immediately”, “The extra bed will be delivered” etc. When we changed rooms, the key cards of the “old” rooms were deleted before we could move our things to the new rooms. Shower towels etc. always had to be reordered (they brought a bag full of products for this - nice, but not the idea). The shower towel dryer in the bathroom didn't work all the time, and we had to listen to what felt like 1001 possibilities as the reason. This continued throughout our stay. When there was finally a discussion with the pool attendant at the hotel pool (we were given too few “entry tickets” at reception - it's a HOTEL pool anyway, where you could easily have checked the guests by means of room numbers [as in the dining room]) and we were reprimanded for this by the receptionist in a very unfriendly tone and in an extremely arrogant manner (as a guest you always have to check pool entry tickets...), our collars burst. The receptionist didn't like this at all and refused to continue the conversation. When we were finally able to leave the next day, there was a queue in front of reception. And experience has shown that the speed of work is not particularly fast.... 😂 As we had already paid for everything in advance and were in a hurry, we handed the room keys to a receptionist and said goodbye. This was also - subsequently - not appreciated. Although we were told during our stay that they would look into a refund (because of all the time, nerves, effort etc.), nothing happened. We therefore contacted the general manager by email and he even wrote back - but only to take a stand for his “oh so great employees”. He can't imagine that we constantly had to wait a long time, that it was noisy and smelly in the first room, that the staff often forgot about us/This+That etc. In short: You can really do without the exchange with the general manager/hotel staff there. They don't take you seriously anyway, you're to blame for everything that doesn't work out, and what's the problem anyway?🤷‍♀️😂😂 For us as a globetrotter family, it's quite clear: Italy/Milano - who knows, maybe again sometime. This hotel: Never, (n)ever again! Absolutely NOT recommendable!

Very close to the center with ideal location close to bus and metro stations and lidl

The hotel is located in the center of Milan, everything is very close to everything. We were offered free swimming pool upon arrival which is usually paid! The swimming pool was very nice and has a very beautiful garden outside! Breakfast was amazing had a lot of variety and fresh fruits + the convenience, definitely worth it! Room was cleaned well but wasn't stbat spacious, but that's expected inside of the city so it's acceptable! We had also Lidl very close to us and next to it was the metro station which was extremely convenient! Would definitely recommend!
