My wife and I stayed at Hotel de La Ville for a couple of nights. The hotel is quite nice and perfectly located for exploring the center of Milan. The rooms are clean, and we’d recommend it if you’d like to walk around and visit the Duomo, La Scala, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Via Montenapoleone, and other wonderful sights within easy walking distance. On our second day, we decided to have lunch at the hotel’s restaurant, *Il Vizio*, as many other guests were doing. The food was excellent, especially the sushi. However, we had a disappointing experience with the service. The individual who appeared to be the head waiter, (maybe Gianpaolo) an elegant man, the only one in a suit and tie, and initially courteous, spent most of the time focusing on my wife. He smiled at her quite openly, while treating me with noticeable coldness, even ignoring some of my questions to continue making jokes with her. I tried to reassure her that it was likely unintentional, but his demeanor became tiring, and she ended up feeling uncomfortable. We left having enjoyed the food but were left disturbed by the experience. *Il Vizio* is not recommended for couples looking to enjoy a relaxed and quiet lunch together.

“I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. We encountered bed bugs in our room, which is something I did not expect at this price point. To make matters worse, an alarm went off during two out of the three nights we stayed, disrupting our sleep and making it hard to relax. The staff was polite and tried to be helpful, but it didn’t quite make up for the other issues. The breakfast was alright, but given everything else, I can’t say I’d recommend this hotel.”

Lovely hotel, attentive staff. My second time to stay in the past two years. Definitely recommend this hotel. Also the location in the center of Milan is a big plus. The staff are very thoughtful and professional. The rooms are a major plus compared to many other hotels.

The best and also one of the worst thing about this hotel is the location. Best because it’s right in the centre of Milan with all the attractions close by, worst because it’s right opposite Rinascente shopping centre who just happened to be hosting a live music party until the early hours. No sleep for us then. To be fair, this was out of the control of the hotel but they were very apologetic for the disturbance. Now, on to the hotel itself. The staff were friendly, very helpful and approachable, our room was really comfortable, everything was clean and obviously well maintained. I loved the variety of food and drinks on offer at breakfast, the staff were very attentive and made sure that it all looked fresh and appealing. A good stay overall and I’d happily visit again.

I spent some days in this nice hotel last June. Location is simply perfet to visit the city even if you have only a few free hours a day. Walking distance from shopping, Dome, Opera House and a lot of bars and restaurant. The hotel is for sure a little bit old and needs some maintenance but staff always do their best to solve problems. WIFI and AC often need to be fix. I want to say a special thanks to the nice manager who helped me a lot with a very imbarrassing matter occurred with a bar waiter. She has been able to manage it with a great sense of responsibility and discretion, saying the right words in the right way. I did apreciate.
