Reviews for Hotel Ivy, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Minneapolis

Great location, clean, comfortable bed, great customer service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The hotel is very clean, comfortable beds, the room was great for us, enough pillows and towels, the staff was friendly and they were happy to assist us during our two day stay, price was a little bit high $400 dollars, but hi, remember it is a luxury hotel which was okay for us. It has bar inside which was great for me any my wife, but if you want big bar with many selection maybe you have to walk to the nearby bars. The hotel is in a great location, it has also a restaurant. we didn't have any problems with parking our car.

Great stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Had a great stay at Hotel Ivy for a three-night getaway. We were early to check in, and were happy to hear that our room was ready. I had included in my reservation that we were celebrating a milestone birthday, and were thrilled to receive a complimentary bottle of prosecco and macarons shortly after getting to our room. It was accompanieded with a hand written note. Our request for a high floor was also granted. The room was clean, comfy, and met our needs! The staff was great. We were lucky enough to enjoy the spa as well. Should I ever find myself in Minnesota again, I would stay at the Hotel Ivy.

Great hotel, at a great location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This was our second stay at the Hotel Ivy, and it was just as great as last time. Our room was very nice and spacious. David at the reception was super nice, and eager to take care of us in any way, when he found out that it was our anniversary night, he sent a bottle of wine and cake to our room. On the next morning, he remembered who we were, and what restaurant we went to the night before... I highly recommend this hotel.

Great staycation hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I had an amazing solo staycation for my birthday at the Ivy. Treated myself to the spa and room service and had great experiences with both. The room itself was beautiful and the bathroom felt like a mini-spa. The staff were so thoughtful and professional and went out of their way to make sure I had a great birthday weekend. Already looking forward to booking again next year!

Just....fine if dissapointing. In the middle of a renovation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I paid extra to stay here over the W and was quite excited about it, but in the end I wished I'd done the W or Emery/Elliot/Randall Park of the Marriott's rather than this one. Just note, as I did not realize they are doing some major renovation on their lobby. The ceiling was ripped out above the reception and something that looked like black mold was up there. They are clearly about to tear it out but it was there while I was there and it certainly didn't feel luxurious. The lobby bar is also ripped out and again a bit of an eye sore at the moment. When I checked in, the staff was very friendly, but my nightly upgrade award was denied though they mentioned they'd put me on a higher floor. Disappointing as the hotel seemed to be very quite with plenty of rooms available. I did enjoy the base room, it was spacious and had a shower and tub, again just not worth the price. I had drinks at Masa & Agave which was lovely, that is definitely the better food and beverage outlet here. Breva...was NOT good. Breakfast there was a joke. The $40 titanium breakfast will not cover much there. Portions were downright laughable. My partner got the avocado toast which was laughably small, barely a numb of bread and almost $20 on its own. The $23 breakfast was lacking in the eggs department and just not enough food. I do not think it is priced accordingly for the area. My partner used the gym which he said was great. Overall the hotel was quiet and clean, but the renovations, lack of the lobby bar and disappointing breakfast just didn't make this one I'd revisit.
