Reviews for Grotta Giusti Hotel & Spa

Place is beautiful but Experience is bad.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I saw reviews n cane here, but experience is quite wanting. Their hospitality is extremely bad speacial the way they treat their guests. Hotel is beautiful but staff attitude needs to be better. Size of room iso tiny, you or your bag can only stay. Its mid Apirl and Air conditioner not working in room, they have actually given us standing fan . Room are hot like a furnace. When requested to get Airconditioner On , they gave some silly excuse as to be not allowed Aircondioner to to put on till 15th may. if it was so how were Airconditioner of Lobby n common area working. When request to change the coffee machine as it was not working, they gave another excuse Food is also bad n extremely expensive. Only good part is the Caves , Will I recommend them to anyone, its a NO as there are many other places giving very good experiences. For the money I am spending here, Experience is a big Zero.

Great place but staff needs a bit of training

Beautiful resort in a beautiful place . The hotel gives a royal touch however the staff seems to be uptight . The gentleman who was asked to help with the bags looked like he was forced to do the work. The bath was extremely slippery. The Air conditioning they said is still not switched on . Asked for fan and the same gentleman came and dropped it at the door . He had no courtesy to put it in a place and switch on. We had booked Bes n bfast but the staff at the bfast were not aware of . Overall a great place but found t he staff to be a bit snobbish

Disappointed by the pool area

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel is beautiful and the grounds stunning. Nice rooms. I am a very keen swimmer and was so excited to use the pool daily however we hadn’t realised it is open to the public so was far from a relaxing atmosphere. It was very busy. The spa was disappointing too and very busy. There are only 2 hours in the day 9-10 or 6-7pm when hotel only guests can use the pools and spa area. Limited opportunity to get food too, other than in the public spa bar.

Great hotel!

This is such a unique hotel! The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel restaurant is so delicious. The spa is quite expansive and the grotto is worth going to. We absolutely loved our time at the Grotto Giusti.

Incredible staff. Poor amenities.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

We came to enjoy the thermal pools. The setting was beautiful and the welcome was warm, with a glass of Prosecco and incredibly helpful front desk staff. However, despite the incredible staff across the board, this hotel was a real disappointment. Two of the thermal pools were drained during our visit and the large one was closed, significantly reducing the resort amenities. We chose to treat ourselves to a massage, but the staff seemed poorly trained. We asked for deep tissue, which the staff confirmed multiple times, but received light pressure. The staff did not ask if there were areas to focus on or avoid, which I am used to in case of injury. The rooms were small, though the view was pretty. The staff at the restaurant were lovely and attentive, but the food was dry and bland. There are other nice restaurants in the area if you do have a car, however. Mostly I was disappointed by the thermal pools being unavailable and the spa quality, as that was the whole reason we booked this resort.
