Celebrated for their majestic beauty, Quebec(TM)s Laurentian Mountains provide a stunning backdrop for Hotel Quintessence. Tucked into the foot on Mont Tremblant, northwest of Montréal, this Old World boutique hotel was declared a oegem” in November 2004 by Town & Country. Decadently spacious suites, all with French doors that open onto private balconies or terraces, feature magnificent views of Lake Tremblant. Savor traditional specialties at Restaurant la Quintessence, sip a fine vintage in a secluded wine cellar turret and spoil yourselves with a massage at Spa Sans Sabots.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Quintessence and LOVED it! We are not skiers - we simply wanted a Valentine's weekend escape from Philly and Mont Tremblant came highly recommended. The good: Beautiful location, right on the lake. Snowy water scenes you see in magazines! Staff is terrific - understated and top-notch service in every area. Room is among the best I've stayed in - ample space with fireplace and great decor. Within walking distance of Mont Tremblant Village - tons of shops & restaurants. Communication was phenomenal. Concierge was on top of everything and highly responsive. Tons of activities - while we're not skiers, we did take advantage of a snowmobiling opportunity and had a great time. Can be improved; Can't get coffee til 7am; for what is charged, coffee should be easily accessible earlier (say 5:30am). Restaurant is a little bit fru-fru - menu is too ambitious and could stand to have some more traditional and simpler fare choices. My wife and I would highly recommend Mont Tremblant as a destination and Hotel Quintessence as the lodging choice; more importantly, we'd do so for non-skiers just as much as skiers! The staff and management at HQ should take tremendous pride in delivering such a wonderful experience - it was worth every dollar we spent! Thank you! Jim & Kathy Rydal, Pa.

Wrote and extensive review in the prior page for the survey about how excellent the hotel atmosphere, room, staff (restaurant, room service, chefs, waitresses, desk, management staff, valets, and more were) but this disappeared after clicking into this next page. Frustrating as we put a good deal of thought into it. There are some improvements in areas that one would expect would be in place for a hotel of this caliber. Bottomline, what is considered to be a gym/workout center is very outdated, too small, and bike was broken so could not use. Would recommend updating equipment and monitoring to make sure it is in working order with staff who know how to advise guests on how to set up programming (ours did not). Batteries were dead on room jacuzzi tub remote and did not know this until getting into it and filling it. Later learned that the panel behind the bathroom door is key for startup, in combo with the remote - not explained very well and batteries should be checked routinely and replaced. Access to Apps for online - Netflix, etc. very hard to figure out and bottom line did not work - spent 2 hours trying to get them synched. Gave up. Toilet in bedroom has a seal broken and ran on and off several times during the night.

For leisure and comfort, it gets no better. They have the nicest, most helpful staff that always go above and beyond, as well as the most beautiful and comfortable accommodations.

This was our second stay at Hotel Quintessence, and once again, it exceeded our expectations! Every member of the staff is exceptionally polite, attentive, and kind—they truly make this place extraordinary. The rooms are spacious and spotless, offering stunning views of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning (some of the best croissants I’ve ever had) and had a delightful dinner at the restaurant. Leo, the bartender, impressed us with his expertise, crafting fantastic drinks at the bar. Hotel Quintessence shines in its attention to detail—offering valet service to the base of the mountain for skiing, après-ski hot chocolate, nightly water and chocolate deliveries, and more. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Mont-Tremblant and staying at Hotel Quintessence!

5-Star Luxury Hotel experience ! we stayed for 6 nights and it was an incredible experience. the staff: nelly, abdul, sheila, the ladies at the spa, and the restaurant staff: audrey, all respectful, warm, welcoming, attentive and made us feel special for the whole stay. no request was rejected, no question un-answered. we were nervous initially as it was a 5-star stay / higher class hotel-stay, and we don't have much experience at these styles of accommodation, but now i understand the value of such a hotel. everyone was friendly, and not at all snobby which i was afraid of. the location was breathtaking, the welcome box of chocolates with a personal note, the wood burning fireplace, the spa was lovely in the cold, the wild turkeys were fun ( or are they wild guinea fowl ?? ) and that gentle one-horned deer that hung around, so lovely. highly recommend !
