Celebrated for their majestic beauty, Quebec(TM)s Laurentian Mountains provide a stunning backdrop for Hotel Quintessence. Tucked into the foot on Mont Tremblant, northwest of Montréal, this Old World boutique hotel was declared a oegem” in November 2004 by Town & Country. Decadently spacious suites, all with French doors that open onto private balconies or terraces, feature magnificent views of Lake Tremblant. Savor traditional specialties at Restaurant la Quintessence, sip a fine vintage in a secluded wine cellar turret and spoil yourselves with a massage at Spa Sans Sabots.

Unquestionably, this is one of the finest hotels we have stayed at both in North America and Europe. We are finishing almost a week here at Hotel Quintessence and the service, attention to detail, food, and genuine interest the entire hotel team expresses is very special. The difference between the corporate chains (we’ve stayed at many of the higher grade hotels…and they are very nice) is apparent and appreciated. There is no substitute for independently held five star resorts. Last year, we were in Rome and stayed at the Hassler Hotel, also independently owned for more than 100 years. When we left we were pretty sure duplicating that level of perfection would be very tough. However, if we close our eyes, the attention to details, service and beauty are the duplicated here in Mont Tremblant. The level of effort it takes to consistently deliver this type of experience, with cheer…has not escaped us. Many thanks for an excellent stay.

Good location, awesome views of the lake but lack polishing for the price. Need a little more choices at restaurant.

This is a beautiful property overlooking the lake. The service and staff were impeccable. It's a one minute walk to the village which is preferable to me - quiet. I should mention that we were there during a slow week. Perhaps during peak season, when everything is full of families, it would not have been as pleasant. Amenities are first class and they thought of everything for your comfort and pleasure. The on-site restaurant was excellent.

Super friendly staff. Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. I stayed for four nights, but I missed the place right after check out.

Beautiful hotel, rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Room has a distinct smoky odour likely from the wood burning fireplace. The trim and furnishings are starting to show their age. Service was excellent. We had a great time. Spa is very small, our massage was great. Workout room is almost unusable due to its minuscule size. Unfortunately we weren’t given any information on the hotel amenities like paddle boards etc when we arrived and when I inquired they were closed for the day. A schedule at check in or in the room would be appreciated. Room service and the food was top notch.
