Fairmont Monte Carlo

We chose the Fairmont Monte Carlo to celebrate my partner’s birthday as it has been a dream for him to stay there with a view of the hairpin. Everything went beyond our expectations starting right from check in. The room was absolutely amazing and my partner basically sat on the balcony staring at the hairpin, he loved it so much. We also encountered the most amazing staff, including Joel who went way above and beyond with giving us all the tips and recommendations and just making everything about our stay as smooth as possible. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious with an excellent omelette station. I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Fairmont in a signature sea view room. Having stayed at several Fairmonts, this is on-par with their 5 star hotels. Staff were happy and helpful at check in, we also dined in their lobby bar, which was relaxed with a good choice of food. Plenty of amenities provided in the room, water, and coffee always replenished. The view from our room was breathtaking. It is definitely worth booking a room with a view! The bed was probably the most comfortable I've stayed in. We did not want to leave! Thank you for a wonderful, unforgettable stay.

This was a surprise trip for my wife's big birthday. Four days and three evenings at The Fairmont Monte Carlo and it was simply unforgettable! The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff are outstanding, service levels amazing and overall just an unbelievable experience. My liaison and planning with the concierge team ahead of the trip was handled professionally and from the moment we arrived to the point we departed we were treated with personal service and the utmost care and integrity. We stayed in a Fairmont Hairpin room, and as major F1 fans we were not disappointed at all - fantastic views both daytime and nightime of the iconic hairpin, nearby casino, Monaco cityscape and frequent supercar appearances. I have absolutely no negatives to report about this hotel and it's team, can't really understand why there are some poor reviews on here - please ignore them, they are NOT representative at all! We highly recommend Fairmont Monte Carlo and would like to thanks the entire team for their dedication. ps. special mention to Calogero on breakfast service (aka Genaro Gattuso!) - he was so attentive and friendly. Great hotel, had a good stay. All the amenities you'd expect from a hotel of this price. 24/7 reception, valet parking, great roomservice, good rooms etc. I particular enjoyed the spacious bathroom, the rooftop pool, the location and the balcony over the sea. We called and requested a third duvet (there were only 2 when we arrived despite being 3 people) and they immediately came up with a third fresh one without no issues. Great service. Unfortunately the room had a bit of a weird musky smell, so retracting one star from that. During our stay, the next-door room had a loud party/social gathering and we called the reception at midnight to ask for assistance in asking them to turn down their music, and they were very helpful and offered us a new room as compensation. Luckily the party died down around the same time and we could sleep again in our own room, but great service offering a new room with no hesitation. As the party was not the hotels fault and they offered a prompt solution I am left positive of how they handled it. 4/5, would go again, would have been 5 if the smell was fresher/cleaner (probably the carpets?).

This hotel is not even a 3 star hotel, much less 4. I will not waste an hour describing all the bad things. If you read my other hotel reviews, you will see the standards I look for and Fairmont Monaco doesn't have one of them. The only positives in the hotel are NOBU and Nikki Beach. And you do not need to stay at the hotel to visit either. Avoid this Fairmont location at all costs.
