About the Hotel

Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

Thank you so much to the staff, the kind receptionist and Maxime at valet parking, for their warm and generous welcoming! You allowed us to enjoy a beautiful getaway! The loft is spacious, bright and well equipped. The location in the old port is perfect. Anne-Marie

The Essence of Vieux Montréal !

OMG! We stayed at Auberge Vieux Port on our last night in Montreal and frankly it was so wonderful I wish I had booked it for our entire trip ! We were greeted by incredibly warm and friendly staff. Louise and Yves you made it hard to want to leave ! We were treated to the most wonderful fragrance upon entering the lobby. It actually smelled like a hotel in the south of France we stayed in years ago. The lobby is such a warm cozy spot with a fire place , stone walls chic furniture and huge windows. Our room faced the quaint shopping avenue again the architecture is remarkable ! Huge beams in ceiling and massive windows, comfy bed and enormous tub and shower ! If you want to experience the culture of Montreal and feel the history YOU MUST STAY here ! The Museum of Archeology and history is literally a 5min walk and worth the visit

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
