Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

Had a lovely baby moon in Old Montreal. Did a lot of walking and eating. Hotel was in a nice location to Bota Bota and the Old Montreal sightseeing. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Thierry from the valet was very kind.

A cozy feel at the Auberge.. you feel the history all around. Great view of the port. The room was very comfortable. The bed and pillows so cozy. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Handy valet parking. As in Montreal parking can be a challenge… old Montreal such a great place to be a tourist.

We stayed at Auberge du Vieux Port for three nights. Lovely hotel. It is in a great location in the Old Town section of Montreal. As others have said, it is an old warehouse, renovated, with brick walls and huge ceiling beams. The lobby is very nice and welcoming. It has a lovely fireplace. There are two restaurants, Gaspar, where we had dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The upstairs restaurant is smaller and where we had breakfast each morning (excellent croissants and fresh fruit dish) Breakfast was not included. The hotel, bar, housekeeping and restaurant staff were exceptional. The room was immaculate. It was ideal, we cannot say enough good things about this hotel.

The hotel itself, is gorgeous. Love the lobby vibes! We stayed in the lofts, top floor. The stairs were a little daunting after walking all day, but the loft was super spacious and had a great full kitchen. I read reviews where some people complained about noise 🙄 I mean, you ARE in the middle of a downtown area surrounded by bars/restaurants! And they knew that well before they stayed. Yes we heard some street noise, but I love hearing the bustling city below and people having fun! Last but not least, Thierry (the valet) was the best! Super sweet and so helpful! Carried our crazy heavy bags up to the top floor. He was so great! We will definitely stay there again!

We stayed at Auberge du m Vieux Port for three nights before an Oceania cruise to Atlantic Canada. We loved this hotel - fantastic location in the Old Town just across from the river and Old Port. We were even able to walk to the ship with our luggage, it was so close. The Auberge is in an old warehouse, beautifully renovated, with brick walls and huge ceiling beams, but with every modern convenience including the fantastic shower, coffee maker and mini fridge. Best of all was the charming lobby, with fireplace, that felt like a cosy living room. We had an excellent dinner there one evening when Gaspar, the restaurant, was too noisy for us. Nice morning breakfast in the attached oyster bar (not included, although there are B and B packages). Service was excellent, our room was spotless, and we couldn’t have been more happy to have chosen this charming hotel!

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
