Montreal is a city filled with energy, romance and culture, known for its splendid cuisine, sunny terraces, art and diversity. The same applies to Hotel Nelligan. Nestled in two adjoining nineteenth century buildings on picturesque Saint-Paul Street, the hotel is the perfect place to get acquainted with the charms of Old Montreal, like the Basilica Notre-Dame, the Old Port and Chinatown. The 105 rooms of the hotel feature fireplaces, exposed stone, brick walls, double whirlpool tubs, and tasteful furnishings. With such a graceful atmosphere, you will be continually reminded that this is a hip and happening metropolitan boutique hotel.

We can't say enough good things about this hotel. We stayed three nights in mid-March to visit Montreal and do some late season skiing in nearby Bromont. Rooms exceeded our expectations - very spacious and atmospheric with the exposed brick walls. Staff was exceptionally attentive with a strong client service ethic. When we reported some noise issues in our first room, the staff immediately offered to move us to a quieter room. I could cite many other examples where staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

Stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it! The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The room was clean, cozy, and had a really nice charm to it. Loved the brick walls and warm atmosphere. The location is perfect—right in Old Montreal, so everything was walkable. The rooftop terrace was a great spot to relax with a drink. Would 100% stay here again!

Absolutely loved our quick Montreal getaway to Old Montreal! The hotel was perfectly located in the heart of Old Montreal, and walking sit ave to everything!! The hotel is beautiful, clean and quiet! The staff were so nice and made our stay even more enjoyable! Our rooms were ready early and overlooked a cute little courtyard! All in all it was a perfect weekend getaway!

The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was spacious, confortable, and very clean. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Christopher and Katrina. There are loads of attractions - shops, restaurants, tours, the river, etc. - that are all within walking distance. Lastly, we ate at both hotel restaurants - the service and food were both excellent. Without question, this hotel is where I will want to stay on my next visit to Montreal.

Great location in the old city but it was a real challenge to get around given the huge snowstorm the day before we arrived. By day 5 post storm the sidewalks over to the metro still had 10” of snow. Very glad they had valet parking even though 42$C per day seemed a bit steep. The room was quiet and well appointed (nice sheets and pillows). The bathroom lighting was very dim (even the magnification mirror had a weak bulb). On the coldest two days the room did not warm up as much as we would have liked. The hallway near our room smelled a bit funky. Perhaps from all the wet footwear on the rugs. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Cleaning staff did excellent job. The a la carte breakfast at Mama C was delicious and the concierge was very helpful.

Hotel Nelligan was lovely, the location is superb, and the staff professional with personal touches. Our room was fantastic, bigger than any we had ever stayed in, and the restaurant was so delicious. When we couldn't finish our dessert, they sent it to our room for us to enjoy later

We recently booked the Hotel Nelligan. We stayed in a uniquely decorated and very stylish room. The king bed was heavenly with luxury linens. Every afternoon we sipped complimentary wine and ate French cheeses by the lobby fire. The staff could not have been more courteous.

We discovered nothing less than excellent room service, a first-class restaurant and everyone at the hotel doing their best to assure a first-class experience. While the weather was cold, the staff always made us feel warm, from our entry into the lobby, throughout our stay. This hotel is a definite must for future stays in Montreal.
