Montreal is a city filled with energy, romance and culture, known for its splendid cuisine, sunny terraces, art and diversity. The same applies to Hotel Nelligan. Nestled in two adjoining nineteenth century buildings on picturesque Saint-Paul Street, the hotel is the perfect place to get acquainted with the charms of Old Montreal, like the Basilica Notre-Dame, the Old Port and Chinatown. The 105 rooms of the hotel feature fireplaces, exposed stone, brick walls, double whirlpool tubs, and tasteful furnishings. With such a graceful atmosphere, you will be continually reminded that this is a hip and happening metropolitan boutique hotel.

My husband and I were told about The Nelligan by a colleague of his who has stayed there previously, and we were not disappointed. The hotel was lovely and very well situated in Old Montreal. Many restaurants, activities and sites were easily walkable. Our room was great and very comfortable. The best thing about the Nelligan was the staff. I worked with Concierge Jade Bermier with reservations and arrangements prior to our arrival and during our stay. She was so knowledgeable and accommodating, it was a pleasure to work with her and I couldn't wait to meet her! She is truly an asset. The transportation, (handled by Ashkan at Times Luxury Car Service and the tour guide, Rannay), were so customer oriented and knowledgeable, we felt we were in excellent care and learned so much about the city. The staff at Mama C's who served us for breakfast every morning were kind, personable and attentive. I can't say enough about the staff at Hotel Nelligan. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. We really enjoyed our stay in Montreal and truly appreciated the staff of The Hotel Nelligan for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed at The Nelligan in September 2024. We absolutely loved it. The staff went out of their way to assure we had a wonderful 3 nights there. The hotel is charming and inviting. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The hotel bars are wonderful and breakfast upstairs at the rooftop bar was delicious! If we ever get the chance to return to Montreal…we will definitely stay here.

Stayed here at the end of our Canadian trip for one night only, and it was a fantastic ending to our holiday. Superb hotel with great staff and service to match. This hotel has great character and a service ethos that makes for a wonderful stay. We loved our comfortable, tastefully decoated room and we also enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. I could go on! Would love to have stayed longer. Special mention to Bilal, who went out of his way to organise our transport back to the airport; he's a great ambassador for the hotel. Well done to all. Don't hesitate to stay here!

The hotel is great and well located. BUT: there are constructions everywhere (until 2026) around and the hotel itself is also going into construction (remodeling). So there is noise everywhere in the streets, people working inside the hotel, dust, equipment etc and THIS IS NOT ANNOUNCED IN THE HOTEL WEBSITE. We had the room 410 and were waken up at 5:58am with noise from the street everyday. Also, someone working in the hotel remodeling opened our room door by accident at 8am of our second night. We had a bad stay and would recommend guests to return to the hotel only after the city works are done and after the hotel remodeling is finished. And we suggest the hotel management to disclose in its website these conditions, we felt very much ripped off.

Hotel Nelligan was lovely, the location is superb, and the staff professional with personal touches. Our room was fantastic, bigger than any we had ever stayed in, and the restaurant was so delicious. When we couldn't finish our dessert, they sent it to our room for us to enjoy later

We recently booked the Hotel Nelligan. We stayed in a uniquely decorated and very stylish room. The king bed was heavenly with luxury linens. Every afternoon we sipped complimentary wine and ate French cheeses by the lobby fire. The staff could not have been more courteous.

We discovered nothing less than excellent room service, a first-class restaurant and everyone at the hotel doing their best to assure a first-class experience. While the weather was cold, the staff always made us feel warm, from our entry into the lobby, throughout our stay. This hotel is a definite must for future stays in Montreal.
