Place D’Armes is a lovely hotel. I became ill during my stay.We are not Canadian citizens and didn’t know where to turn for medical help. Jonathon, the concierge, was so helpful, kind and professional. He booked an appointment for me at a clinic, paid for and reserved an Uber to the clinic, and sent a note with treats to our room expressing his hope that I was feeling better. I spent the better part of our stay in the hotel room but it was quiet and comfortable. Thank you for your kindness, Jonathon!

Hotel Place d’Armes is a charming hotel located at a prime location at the door step to Old Montreal and the downtown district. So convenient to visit sites such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, historic old town and just a short stroll to the city centre. The rooms are very well appointed and stylish. The building is historic and features unique features including impressive stucco artwork in the walls and ceilings. However, the best feature is the people. The Front desk team are welcoming and efficient. The Concierges Ricardo and Jonathan are truly experts of the surrounding area and very well connected. They suggest the ideal places for dining and sightseeing. We enjoyed the dinner at Brasserie 701. And we were blown away by the experience at Mama C, a contemporary Greek restaurant (operated by Corner Collection, the same hospitality group as the hotel). We will definitely return here due to the exemplary service combined with the prime location and comfort.

We recently stayed at Hotel Place d'Armes for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, the hotel missed the mark on a couple of key details. The hotel is conveniently located near major attractions, making it easy to explore the city. The team at the valet station, front desk and restaurant were welcoming and attentive. However, when checking out, we weren't asked about the satisfaction of our stay. I had mentioned during the booking process that we were celebrating a special occasion, hoping for a small gesture. After all, out of all of the hotels we could have stayed at, we choose Hotel Place d'Armes. It’s a small touch that can make a big difference in a guest's experience, and it was disappointing not to receive any recognition. We booked a Junior Suite expecting a touch of luxury, but the room felt quite dated. The décor was tired, with worn-out furnishings and fixtures that clearly needed an upgrade. For the price and the room category, we expected a more modern and comfortable environment. We requested a quiet room so maybe the older rooms are quieter than the renovated suites? We did really like the upstairs loft area. Overall, the room was fine but it would have been nice if we were told it didn't have a bathtub, upgraded technology, and a fireplace. While the hotel has a lot of positives, the lack of attention to special occasions and the outdated room left us a touch disappointed. With a few improvements in these areas, it is a great place to stay. Overall, we really liked this hotel!

Fabulous location but very old and made up of 3-4 old buildings. Ours housed the 2 restaurants. It reminded us of an old NYC hotel- narrow hall, dark wood and a very small room. It was quiet and the bed and bedding were first rate. Front desk hospitality was non existent and definitely not a lobby for sitting in! The Bistro seemed very popular and cool.

Love the place We stayed at the hotel for a romantic weekend. Everyone is accomodating and attentive. The front desk and valet gave us a warm welcome. Our room was spacious and clean. Very cumfy bed bed awasome shower. The location of the hotel is ideal.

At the Hotel Place d’Armes, we arrived very late one night and had an unbelievable late night dinner at the adjoining restaurant. The hotel itself is very nice and well-maintained, and the rooms were great. I contacted the concierge beforehand and they really set me up with some great advice on restaurants and things to do.
