Le Place d'Armes Hotel & Suites

I LOVE this hotel in the heart of old Montreal. Great location. Great staff. Great restaurant and bar. I’ve stayed here at least five times and have no intention of staying anywhere else when I visit Montreal.

Charming, excellent walkability, great restaurants, room service. Bedding was soft pillows fluffy, mattress could have been better. we had incredible view of the plaza and Notre Dame Basilica. Ricardo and Jonathan from concierge were wonderful from booking reservations, to arrival and departure lots of details including a tray of champagne and fruit and snacks as well as stuffed teddies for our daughters

Overall I am very happy with our stay here. We chose it because it s located right on the edge of the Old Port where we planned to spend our time and money so walking distance was a priority. The hotel makes for an easy ten minute walk to the furthest restaurants and attractions in the Old Port. The lobby is tiny and easily become chaotic during check in with luggage and families. Once checked in and arriving at the room we were good. The room was spacious and attractive. Beds were comfortable, temperature good, shower HOT and large. Everything was clean and the staff very friendly. It was pricey, but worth it for a splurge trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at the Place d'Armes. We didn't realize when making our reservation just how conveniently it's located -- particularly if you're planning to visit the cathedral. (Literally one block away.) We also give the in-house restaurant very high marks! Perhaps best of all, the receptionist was complimentary of my halting attempts to speak with him in French. Much appreciated!

Exceptional Service and a Fantastic Stay I had an amazing experience at this hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough. The concierge, Amine, truly went above and beyond. When Expedia made an error with my booking, Amine stepped in and resolved the issue with incredible patience, professionalism, and kindness. His exceptional service made all the difference in my stay. The hotel was fully booked during my visit, which is no surprise given the quality of the experience. My room was beautifully designed, with a classy ambiance and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in Montreal. Highly recommended!
