Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal

Great stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Amazing stay! We stayed in room 409/410 (nice upgrade!). Everyone was amazing from Maxime, concierge, to night shift front desk person, Mark, to Labri, the doorman, to Housekeeping (Myra, Jessica and Vasyl turndown). What a wonderful stay! The bar and breakfast also were amazing and we had such a pleasant stay and highly recommend! Everyone is friendly and wonderful!

Great Service! Love Ritz Carltons

Great experience! We always love the service at a Ritz Carlton. I love that this is the first Ritz in North America. It's charming. The room was pretty standard with the excellent Ritz bathroom. Service was great. The concierge was able to secure us a great table at Joe Beef on a Saturday night at 7:45. It was all around a great experience. We'll be back

Exceptional!

This is, in every regard, the finest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at in decades of world travel. From the people, the processes, the accoutrements, the quaintness, to their hospitality, all impeccably executed. You will not be disappointed!!!

Quite possibly a perfect hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We had an absolutely delightful three night stay at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal. My husband and I knew the attention to detail would be impeccable when we received a lovely welcome phone call from the front desk the day before and it just got better from there. The staff was professional, friendly, and warm. The room and common areas (including the rooftop pool) were immaculate. Our room was huge and included a large walk-in closet that was the perfect storage space for all of our bags. The bathroom is one of the only in my 40+ years of hotel stays where it felt like there was truly enough room. The stay was made extra special via touches such as a handwritten welcome note and platters of cookies. The valet even presented us with bottled waters for our ride home upon our departure. The Montreal location is truly the gold standard of Ritz-Carltons; I wish they all were this good. Bravo to the staff - you have made loyal customers for life!

Spectacular but very noisy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The hotel is spectacular in every way: location, rooms, bathtubs, towel warmer, the exquisite wallpaper, and the incredibly beautiful swimming pool at 85 degrees Fahrenheit. But why the hell was there super loud music banging out loud and people running and screaming in the hallway until I had to call the front desk to ask when they were planning to turn down the volume!? On a Tuesday night, I expect silence after 10pm and not having a night club experience for CAD1,000 per night.
