The Ritz-Carlton, Montréal is one of the great treasures of this city. Marked by a classically understated elegance, it has long been a premier destination for visitors from all over the world. Its recent careful restoration has assured its status as one of the grand hotels of North America. Ideally accessible by car or by train from Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto or New York, Montreal, with its unique heritage and history, is the most romantic city in North America.

We had a perfect experience which started with the afternoon tea and the best scones we ever had. We enjoyed the panoramic swimming pool. We had an incredible couple massage at the spa. Very professional and very relaxing. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and a lot of natural light. Beautiful bathroom with a great rain shower. All the staff was very pleasant and attentive.

Excellent hotel. Great location walking distance to McGill and the Park and the Bell Center where the rotten Canadiens play. Fantastic service. Great rooms with comfortable bed and fireplace. Bar service was great. Would highly recommend

We loved this hotel! From the wonderfully hospitable staff to the huge comfortable room with improbably large bathroom and closet, to the sublime breakfasts on the patio (with ducks!), to the classic cocktails at the Palm Court bar, we had an incredible experience from the first minute to the last. We enjoyed the hotel so much it was hard to leave, even to get out and see the city! I wish I could give it six stars!

The Ritz Carlton has become my new favourite "go to" spot for dinner and drinks in Montreal. The decor is very inviting with a large portrait of Audrey Hepburn overlooking the room, lots of large tables and comfortable couches and chairs with a view on the glamourous hotel entrance and illuminated bar area. The staff are particularly friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and the music creates a nice atmosphere (when there is not a loud wedding which happens from time to time in the adjacent ballroom). The gin & tonic is a classic, the oysters always fresh and the beef filet is tender and well-cooked with a rich sauce on the side. The kids have enjoyed the burgers which are also beautifully presented with the Ritz logo seared onto the brioche bun and served with a side of regular or sweet potato fries. Always reliable and good value. A very pleasant experience.

The Ritz-Carlton Montreal is the finest luxury hotel in Montreal. If there was a 6 star category, this would definitely fit the bill. After spending a week at the RC Montreal, I did not want to leave. In every respect the hotel exceeds expectations. It is centrally located two blocks from the Peel metro station. I flew to Montreal on a red-eye flight from Vancouver and the hotel had the room ready for me after a breakfast in the Boulud restaurant. The rooms was spacious and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping came twice daily and the room is stocked with luxury bath products. One of the highlights was the saltwater pool on the penthouse floor that had views of the city. Service in the lounge was impeccable. The concierge was helpful, knowledgable and no request was too difficult. They secured a day bus trip to Quebec City with ease. The breakfasts were delectable. Hot and cold buffet along with cured meats and smoke salmon lox, fresh juices and although the weekend crowd was significant, it was not noisy or loud. I was able to take advantage of the Spa St James for a relaxation massage. Overall, the best hotel in Montreal and arguably one of the finest luxury hotels in Canada. It''s worth the trip!
