This is a tired hotel. It appears to be a 1990's hotel that has been not been maintained well and is stuck in the past. The staff is insufficiently competent and robotic. The dining options are disappointing and overpriced. The hallway carpets are dingy, the woodwork is chipped and soiled, and the wallpaper stained and in need of replacement. The hotel is overpriced for the quality of accommodations and amenities. Staying here was not an experience that overly frustrated me, but was certainly underwhelming.

From the staff to facilities and excellent views, this was a great spot to home base for a trip out west. Easy to access lots of great hikes in the area. Restaurants both on site and in the surrounding mountain resort village. Right at the base of the ski lifts. Garage parking (for a fee) or free parking down the road (with permit from hotel). No complaints. Can’t wait to visit again.

When we came into Elevation we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but were left very satisfied with our time there. Staff was great. Amenities were in excellent condition. The front desk were able to give some great dinner recommendations in town and some advice about beating the crowds on hikes around town. Will definitely be coming back again, thanks!

Great location, close to town shuttle stop which is the best way to get to town rather than re-parking. Excellent views and nice rooms. Lobby was recently updated and food options are great. Can't wait to come back in the winter and be close to the slopes.

Went on a girls trip and was told the Elevation was the best the town has to offer. Well then, the town doesn't have much to offer other than the wild flowers, which we missed by 2 weeks. One of the front desk staff was great, the other couldn't have cared less. The parking is horrid if you drive a large vehicle. We were 'upgraded' to a mountain view which would have been fine if not for the rattling exhaust fans that kept us from opening the patio door at night. The restaurant was a HUGE disappointment. Canned food in my opinion and 2nd time there (because there was nowhere else we could find) the order was a mess. I tried to call from the room and got voicemail. I tried to order online and got all the way through the order before the site said they no longer take online reservations. So I went down to the restaurant. It was empty. Why the phone went to VM was beyond me. I ordered from the bar and watched employees talk to each other. My friend ordered the Pozole and ate in the room because we were exhausted. The to-go portion was ridiculous - no discount for half the food of course. I ordered a bacon burger no bun and got no bacon, so everything got cold while I waited for the best-ish part of my order. Clearly pre-cooked and barely warm. The burger was typical WalMart-style frozen patty. Rooms were sub-par with broken items everywhere, including an exposed outlet behind my bed. Fire hazard for sure. The desk area had no outlets. It was insane to me that a desk area had no accommodation to be a desk. I was excited to see a humidifier in the room ... until I saw the humidifier. Unusable. The locals were not friendly at all with the exception of one young man who was very helpful and kind. We went to the visitor center and asked typical tourist questions. A local woman jumped into a conversation that did not include her and was very rude to us. Vail was our next stop. Had an amazing time there. Don't think I'll go back to Crested Butte.
