Singita Lebombo & Sweni Lodges

For me this has provided an unbeatable Safari holiday. We have just returned from a family holiday with an 8 and an 11 year old. The whole experience is A+++. The drive from the airstrip to the lodge was an incredible start, seeing Lion, Giraffe, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo. The lodge itself is gorgeous, with beautiful rooms perched on the banks of the river Sweni, with resident crocs and hippos. I have never felt so relaxed as when hanging there, the food is superb, and the service is brilliant, everyone is so friendly and seems to genuinely enjoy what they do, and that really comes across. The main event however is the game drives, we were there 5 nights, and did 10 drives. They have a large private concession within a beautiful part of Kreuger, with lots of rivers, and varied landscape, and lots and lots of wildlife. We had many amazing sightings of Lions, Leopard, Rhino, and the area seems to have lots of Elephants and Giraffe, we saw a herd of 40 elephants one day. I particularly enjoyed the birdlife too. What made it even better was that we had the same guide and tracker on every trip, and I have never come across such an experienced/knowledgable and fun team. Bernard and Mr T, we will never forget you guys, just the best. Thanks Singita for the holiday of a lifetime.

Not quite the same standard as other Singita lodges. Food and service not very good/sometimes bad on occasions, which is not really ok given the price point. Game drives were great and decor really nice if you like a more modern lodge. Logistics were a bit sloppy too.

Singita Sweni was pure magic. I have been on other Safari’s and this one somehow felt wilder. Our guide (Brian) and tracker (Charles) made the whole experience absolutely seamless. They worked well in tandem and had us in stitches laughing at the commentary. The lodge was exceptionally comfortable (photos do not do it justice) and the staff went above and beyond to create a remarkable experience. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone traveling to South Africa.

What an absolutely wonderful camp. This is my 10th camp I have visited in Africa (SA, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia) and has moved up to reside with Chitabe as my favorites. The camp staff was wonderful. By the end of our visit we were ready to adopt our host, Andrew. I have always had incredible guides on safari but I have to say Amy was the most impressive guide I have ever had (an encyclopedic knowledge and wonderful teacher) and David was a wonderful tracker. The suites, food, wine, game drives were superb but most incredible was the hospitality.

What an extraordinary stay it was to stay at Sweni Lodge. The whole team was absolutely fantastic, smiles and attention to detail all over. The food was WOW - being a vegan & vegetarian & pescatarian family - it can be very challenging however the team faced it with such a professional level. Fortunate, Andrew leading the team, then Morris and Secret taking card of the meals with so much love. The game was also amazing - Wess and Christoph guided us and the kids through a life experience that we will never forget. These two gents are absolutely the best of the best. And then the facilities - the rooms are incredibly well maintained, the boutique, the Spa, the gym, the wine and cocktail selection - I could go on and on - it was absolutely incredible and experience the kids (and parents) will never forget! thank you - thank you - thank you!
