It's a journey in itself to get to Anantara Mui Ne Resort, but that’s part of the reason it’s so rewarding. Four hours from Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne is a rare unspoiled beach destination that’s popular with kite surfers and visitors who prize solitude. Ten miles of sand front Anantara’s fragrant gardens, and just beyond town are the monolithic White Dunes, where a hike to a lotus-filled lake oasis is unforgettable.

Anantara Mui Ne 4 * We finished our two week holiday with 5 nights here. The hotel is really good but is located on a noisy road with mini marts, spas and tourist restaurants. We asked to move rooms after the first night due to the road noise. We moved from 235 to 302 which was much quieter and had a nicer view from our terrace. The village where the hotel is located is very popular with Russians and the restaurants have their Vietnamese title and Russian title above the restaurant. We struggled to find good authentic Vietnamese food. Mui Ne is famous for kite surfing, but apart from that there is not much to do. Thankfully, the hotel was great and we finished our holiday relaxed. Good points to note are the amazing swimming pool, the helpful pool staff, the lovely breakfast, fantastic cocktails in the bar and Butchers BBQ on the beach. The deluxe room is also very spacious with a lovely bathroom, ensure you close the bathroom blinds as you can see people getting showered if not! The negatives are that the hotel needs to use less plastic in the bathroom - the showers have miniatures that are replaced rather than having a big shampoo or body wash that is refilled like at other hotels. The hotel asks you to sign a person injury waiver stating they are not liable if you get injured. We refused to sign this and this was accepted. Also all the sun beds are reserved by 10am! You have to reserve a bed before breakfast to guarantee one. Annoyingly people reserve beds and don’t come to use them until the afternoon. The hotel should remove their items if they are not being used and this would stop this. We tried using the preferred list of restaurants from the hotel and unfortunately did not have an enjoyable meal at Pitstop. All the restaurants on the list were tourist restaurants. The hotel also manages to arrange for us to play an hours tennis at the Saigon Mui Ne hotel. Hotel transport to and from the hotel was very comfortable with refreshments provided. When travelling to and from Hoi Chi Minh allow a lot of extra time as it took us 3 hours arriving and 3 hours 40 mins return.

This is a good family resort with a decent amount of kids' activities. However, be cautious if you plan to have guests or outside company visit for lunch, even if they follow all the rules. The hotel staff can be unfriendly and may treat them as second-class citizens. It's unfortunate because the same people who greet guests initially are the ones displaying this behavior. Despite this, the hotel is nice and situated in a beautiful location where you can just sit back and relax at the pool or go wind surfing, rent a moped and drive around

We had our vacation at Anantara Mui Ne in December 2024. We enjoyed the trip very much due to the great and prompt services extended to us, from the time we were picked up at the airport by the friendly D-car driver, to the efficient receptionist, guest relation staff, restaurant staff, Spa staff and excursion staff.

Great amenities, excellent pool-beach combo. Decent food. But don’t come if you have little kids and in need of an entertaining kids club
