Consider yourselves in good company when you check into the Taj Mahal Palace. With its fantasyscape of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles, this architectural marvel has welcomed Maharajas, kings and presidents since opening in 1903. Along with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, this spectacular Mumbai landmark boasts vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, hand-woven silk carpets and a magnificent art collection whose dazzling pieces range from Belgian chandeliers to Goan Christian artifacts.

Our stay at The Taj Mahal Palace was truly exceptional. The team's attention to detail and thoughtful gestures made our experience truly unforgettable. From the grand Indian-style welcome to the meticulously curated activities, every aspect of our stay was impeccable. What truly sets Taj apart, however, is their unwavering commitment to excellence in hospitality – a hallmark that never fails to impress.

Although the hotel is beautiful our room was very damp and musty smelling. The de humidifier was really noisy and we had to keep emptying it. I also thought the towels were very rough and not particularly clean. A bit disappointed considering how much we paid for 2 nights.

Beautiful elegant hotel . Old World charm . We had a perfect stay and felt pampered as soon as we went through the doors to this wonderful hotel. The staff were courteous and professional. The two ladies at the reception area that I renamed daughters one and two were very professional and made us feel welcomed and valued. Sweety at the pool was just amazing and Percy who took us on a guided walk around the hotel explaining its history was very entertaining. All in all a wonderful time in lovely surroundings

The staff was excellent Ariba and Harinder at the front office took care of every request made. Urvi , the staff at the Shamiana were informative and the breakfast at sea lounge was excellent with staff going beyond to serve us with our request.

I can’t imagine a more perfect stay. We showed up in the early evening and were greeted by Arpit who showed us what professional courtesy and perfect hospitality are all about. Rather than checking in at the desk where the evening crowds (and noise) were starting to gather, he personally escorted us up to our room and we did the check-in process there. From that point on, he checked in on us at various locations around the hotel throughout our stay to ensure that things were going well. They were! He was able to obtain a reservation at the much touted (and much deserved) Loya restaurant. We had a fabulous experience there. It started by being greeted by the Manager, Swarang, who ensured that everything went perfectly. It did! We enjoyed the best Indian meal we’ve ever had. It was all gorgeously presented and wonderfully prepared. She went above and beyond in honor of a combined celebration of our Anniversary, my wife’s birthday and Valentine’s Day by presenting us with a house photographer, some beautiful sweets and a bouquet of roses with a lovely personal message. Our amazing, young server, Sneha, completely overwhelmed us with her menu knowledge and impeccable service. With her amazing attitude and desire to please, she could easily become a manager very, very soon. We were also able to join in on a tour of the hotel hosted by a retired 40-year employee that cooked there. Amazing history and architecture highlights.
